Nice local Panera Bread Restaurant. Opens 7am daily and wished it opened at 6am to not interfere with my work commute but oh well. I always go in to get assorted pastries for my coworkers and they have a full coffee cake that is delicious if you ask for it. The pastries are always fresh and good portion size. I now have begun to order ahead which makes pick up smooth and almost timeless. Customer service is always top notch. They assorted breakfast items as well as a nice assortment of coffee choices. The restaurant is spacious with lots of window space and this Panera Bread Restaurant is located in the Sand City shopping center with an assortment of various restaurants, makeup, gas station/car wash, Target, and Lucky’s. Give it a try

This place needs a complete over haul period. Starting with your wait help! When you have customers eating and your employee is banging and being so loud with the dirty dishes is sooo bad and unpleasant. Your food and bread suck. It was just bad on all levels. Revamp and your numbers might improve.

There seems to be a pattern with one particular manager... every time she’s working, the sanitizing wipes in the lobby magically disappear.
But don’t worry, she’s definitely working hard, judging by how she always manages to snag the front parking spot. Must be exhausting spending all that time at the front counter...you know, where nobody ever is.

6 days ago I went to Panera with my dad one of the staff employees at the time said she would get a cashier in a bit but that ended taking up about 20 plus 30 minutes and I decided to order it on their tablets. After we ordered the food we didn't know where to receive the order we didn't receive any receipt from the tablets and we had figure out where to pick up our orders by looking at one of their big menu screen to which no panera staff member decided to even show us when to let us know when to pick up our orders. The worst part was there was no coffee and half & halfs for us serve our selfs. I literally had to run around there kitchen to let them know those things are empty. They took there sweet 10 - 15 minutes for us to wait again and they finally brought out the coffees & half & halfs. I even went ahead to thanking one of them for bringing us the coffees & half & halfs and this employees and the rest of the other employees never apologized or even said anything about the situation. Just entitled condescending and rude attitude towards me & my dad. Ever since the panera in sand city California opened up 10 years ago in the beginning it was great and up until a few years later the management at that place have had new managers who in my opinion were not good and wouldn't care if our orders were not made correctly. Never ever going to that place ever again. Never going to waste a dime at that place again. 10 years of horrible services, makes the other panera a lot better than the sand city California. A huge letdown. 😡

Out of almost every item we tried to order. No sides. No offer of discounts or anything else to replace it. Like running out of bread is understandable. Chips and apples? Thats bad management. Jipped on whats supposed to be included.

Extremely bad customer service . The cashier taking my order snappy at me and rolled her eyes while taking my order. I asked to speak to the manager who basically defended her staff and made excuses for her. Super long wait for the food.

The staff told me that the manager refuses to replace the missing microwave, because it’s too inconvenient [my term] to maintain. The staff can’t even warm, for example, the pastries. Starbucks does warm the pastries and always offers to do so!
The coffee is not consistently hot out of the pot, and, of course, without the microwave you can’t rewarm it.
BTW, I have complained for years about the inconvenient location of the microwaves at all Panera stores.
You would expect that when a restaurant first opens in the morning, the carpets would have been vacuumed. Not always so at this store. Makes one wonder what other areas might not have been properly cleaned.
In the afternoon sometimes the dishes are piled high at messy return stations. The return station drawers do not pull out, easily.
Prioritizing management’s convenience over that of the customers is an inexcusable attitude. Panera management seems to ignore the voice of the customer, which is a recipe for failure.

Lost Place
No iced tea for almost two weeks now. Main reason I visit Panera, so have been very disappointed. QUICK UPDATE as of July 26th the iced tea has returned. That said, it was gone for an entire month, which is completely ridiculous. Management should be ashamed. I've cancelled my sip club membership because I can't trust my local Panera to deliver on their promises anymore. Again VERY DISAPPOINTED. I'll continue visiting Panera, but only at the Salinas location on rare occasion.
