WOW!!! I can’t say enough about this resort. It is SO BEAUTIFUL and just so amazing!! An oasis just outside the city. The staff was amazing! The rooms were emasculate!! The grounds were stunning!! The food was delicious!! Such a gorgeous place!

An hour north of Harris Ranch resort where we had dinner. Easy parking, pleasant front desk. Clean slightly dated room. Bed was exquisite. Tv was good. Wardrobe in the room was a nice touch.

Resort like experience in the Central Valley. Feels like a vacation even though I was working. Large nicely appointed rooms and I love the Mission style and history.

Stayed there three times in two years. It’s an Impressive facility from the outside. I’ve always pulled in pretty late without a reservation and I found the staff to be reasonable – Angel helped me twice. The facility is dated and a little rough on the inside, but that’s part of that charm - It feels historical. It’s not priced like it’s dated though. The basic room is now $200 per night - after 10pm with an empty parking lot. Seems aggressive but not outrageous. At that time of night $100-$125 would be a good deal and $150 would be fair.
Twice I have left belongings behind (how dumb can you be?) But twice my belongings were not returned – first time was an untraceable electronic device so I figured my odds were poor. Second time was a labeled prescription and I called the evening after I checked out. Not shocking, but all in all not ticking many boxes.
Next time I think I’ll stick to the reliable hotel chains as much as I would like to support an ‘independent’ trying to develop an alternative for weary travelers who appreciate nostalgia.?
Rooms: Decent but dated

Beautiful place to stay and or have a nice romantic dinner, or a nice family outing. There is also a great lounge area with a bar, and bar games.
Nearby activities: Summer you have a lake few minutes away swimming, fishing, boating, jets skiing.
Safety: Security on site doing rounds.

California always manages to surprise with a quality, one of a kind hotels restaurants that are not far off major routes. the Hotel at Mission Del Oro is one of those great unexpected pleasures.
