This is absolutely incredible sushi. Los Olivos has no business having the best sushi in California but it's true.
We stopped by here randomly in transit and had an incredible meal--so good we're making a point of driving through here again just to try more than just the California roll and spicy tuna.
Added bonus is it's gluten free. Worth a stop on your way!!

We didn’t read much into the place prior to going- didn’t realize it was inside of the market shop and wasn’t a sit down place. But the son and mother team were very kind and welcoming. Showed us their menu and we ended up ordering and taking our dinner to the beach. Was all very fresh and high quality! The cheesecake was also unreal- highly recommend.

Hidden gem in Los Olivos Grocery. Inside this Grocery store along route 154 (San Marcos Pass), is a small family run sushi operation. The food is incredible and few know about this spot. Outside, there are picnic tables and its a wonderful setting or just take it home. I live in San Francisco and am from NYC and this place is among the best. Every time I am in the area, I go here and its always excellent.There are some amazing restaurants in this area like Bar Le Cote and SY Kitchen and this little tiny spot hidden in a grocery store is just as good. So go to Los Olivos Grocery and ask for BB Sushi (its on the right side as you walk in the front door).

I’ve been staring at my phone trying to put words to how absolutely amazing the sushi at BB Sushi is. All I can really come up with is “wow.” My wife and I were blown away with everything we ordered. The ivory roll in particular will be ordered every time we return (fantastic yuzu on the roll).The family that owns it is as kind as their sushi is delicious. Thank you for the great meal, if you are reading this, go ahead and do yourself a favor, and enjoy their food.

Ordered to-go through text & they were responsive & fast. Everything was SO GOOD! I got chicken gyoza, house green salad (dressing was phenomenal), crispy rice with tuna, and the To Die For roll (truly so good). Everything was super fresh. New flavors for me with the shiso & ume in the roll - excellent flavors and well balanced!! 10/10. Will be back! <3
