The owner is fantastic and her and her son make some of the best sushi around. They used to owner ARU in Bulleton and they are by far the best sushi in the valley!

Hidden gem in Los Olivos Grocery. Inside this Grocery store along route 154 (San Marcos Pass), is a small family run sushi operation. The food is incredible and few know about this spot. Outside, there are picnic tables and its a wonderful setting or just take it home. I live in San Francisco and am from NYC and this place is among the best. Every time I am in the area, I go here and its always excellent.There are some amazing restaurants in this area like Bar Le Cote and SY Kitchen and this little tiny spot hidden in a grocery store is just as good. So go to Los Olivos Grocery and ask for BB Sushi (its on the right side as you walk in the front door).

I’ve been staring at my phone trying to put words to how absolutely amazing the sushi at BB Sushi is. All I can really come up with is “wow.” My wife and I were blown away with everything we ordered. The ivory roll in particular will be ordered every time we return (fantastic yuzu on the roll).The family that owns it is as kind as their sushi is delicious. Thank you for the great meal, if you are reading this, go ahead and do yourself a favor, and enjoy their food.

Ordered to-go through text & they were responsive & fast. Everything was SO GOOD! I got chicken gyoza, house green salad (dressing was phenomenal), crispy rice with tuna, and the To Die For roll (truly so good). Everything was super fresh. New flavors for me with the shiso & ume in the roll - excellent flavors and well balanced!! 10/10. Will be back! <3

To say that BB sushi is the best in the Valley would be doing them a disservice. This little well kept secret is tucked away inside the Los Olivos Market, yet makes better sushi than most restaurants in Santa Barbara. They provide all the usual fare, but also have incredible Santa Barbara Urchin, Otoro, and some pretty amazing specials. The mother and son team are a delight and the service is top notch. Open starting late afternoon Tuesday - Saturday. You will not be disappointed!

We ordered the following:Hamachi sushiSpicy Tuna rollAlbacore Lovers rollEskimo rollThe pickup location is inside the Los Olivos Market on right as you enter the store. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and was nice that he asked if we needed chopsticks or soy sauce though in our case we had some at home so declined.All the rolls and the sushi were great and we couldn't pick a favorite between them all. One thing that stands out beside the excellent quality fish was the rice which at the local markets isn't great whereas our order was much better. We agree with the other reviewers that this is the best we have had in the Santa Ynez valley.
