Wow! Great dinner. Best place we ate at while visiting Solvang/ santa Ynez. Atmosphere was a rustic romantic ambience. Food was all amazing. Chris, our waitress was phenomenal. Very attentive and charismatic. We will definitely come back. 5 stars for sure. Oh... and the chicken liver with dijon was sooooo good!

Best place, hands down! KRIS, our waitress was AMAZING. She was charismatic, fun, and perfectly attentive. We didn't feel rushed at all. All the food was amazing. The chicken liver with dijon is my new favorite appetizer. The halibut was perfect. Large size though. Next time we'll split one. My husband's filet was cooked perfectly. No complaints here. Was too full for their bread pudding I heard was good. But I did enjoy their ice cream and decaf coffee for my dessert. I was so fulfilled. What a great last night in town ?

If in the area, go here. The food was amazing. The halibut was perfectly cooked and served in a delicious citrus sauce. The chicken was also perfectly cooked and while simple, so flavorful. The wine list was excellent and the ambiance was perfect for a nice dinner and conversation.

Incredibly fantastic food with a beautiful presentation. Wonderful service and a pleasant outdoor setting for us and our little pup. We just cannot say enough about our delightful dinning experience. If we lived closer we would eat at Ellie's more often.

The food never disappoints. The crab cake and the halibut were superb! Thankful that menu items can be slightly adjusted to our preference! (No bacon) We love the out door booths and we always request to sit there as it provides some privacy and not too loud for conversation. The service is always friendly and food delivery timing is always just right. Thank you for an enjoyable evening. We look forward to coming again soon! :)
The most incredible meal! From the spectacular food to the beautiful ambiance, the experience was a highlight of our weekend getaway to wine country. A special restaurant that felt like an elevated home cooked meal where every detail was thought of. A must stop!

Honestly it's possibly the best food in the valley. Menu changes monthly and each selection was amazing. Chef and owner always makes the rounds and will even take time to join your table and discuss the food, wine and just life in general. This is a must go destination for any foodie.
The scallops with lobster were divine.....Joy in the kitchen turns out reliably wonderful food and the service is always great - and you are extra lucky if you get Michelle. Everything to love!

Really wonderful dining experience. It is a casual, food focused meal, with very friendly service and a thoughtful food. I wouldn't call it elegant or played with, closer to rustic, but it worked very well. Great wine list.
The food is delicious, but they were already out of several main dishes by 6:30 pm. They need a little more variety for those who do not eat fish or meat, especially when chicken is sold out. Great place though!
I took my Cousin who had never been to Ellie's. Needless to say, She absolutely loved it! Service was absolutely amazing and the Food was Excellent. Thank You Chef Joy and Staff for making this evening special. I will definitely be returning soon

If you want to impress a date or the love of your life take her to ELi's! The food has so much spirt and love in it and it shows when you the chef greets you and is always for your concerns. Wine is great and even the water I hate tap water lol.

What an amazing gem in the small town of Santa Ynez. My second time here and once again perfection! Service great and the food is a 10! We had mushroom soup - the lightest most delicious soup ever! Not heavy and over creamy so a good starter. The three entrees were Shepard's Pie - not like you have every had it! Full of lamb and fresh herbs. Pork Shank with apples and Dijon - fell off the bone. And finally the roast chicken. Brined all day and roasted with crispy shallots - absolute perfection. Finish with bread pudding and an memorable meal!

Just had the most wonderful anniversary dinner at Ellie's! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and taken care of. The owner, Joy, made great recommendations for wine and dinner. My Husband had the ahi tuna which was delicate and tasty. I had the most delicious chanterelle soup made with “love”- and it was lovely indeed! Our main courses were Asian pork belly over rice and I had the filet with the creamiest potatoes EVER! We were treated to a lovely Pinot port for dessert. Perfect end to our meal. We tried Ellie's for restaurant week and decided we must come back. Now we will be visiting every month as Chef Joy changes the menu frequently. What a great night- thanks Ladies! We will be back soon!
