Went with girlfriends for a tasting at Gainey Winery. Paul was super knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. If you don't want to feel rushed, allow for extra time. I recommend allowing at least an hour and a half. The setting was beautiful however they close at 5 so book your tasting earlier. The Patrick red and the Riesling were quite good.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gainey Vineyard, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the indoor facility. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, setting the stage for a memorable wine tasting experience. Despite not having made a reservation, the staff were incredibly accommodating and managed to squeeze us in as walk-ins, which was greatly appreciated. Once seated, our wine tender went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful tasting experience. They patiently poured each wine we expressed interest in, providing detailed descriptions and insights into the flavor profiles of each varietal. Their knowledge and enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to the tasting. One aspect of the experience that stood out to me was the selection of wines available for tasting. While many wineries offer their full range of wines for tasting, Gainey Vineyard has certain wines that are exclusively reserved for members. While I understand the exclusivity of membership perks, it was a bit disappointing to not have the opportunity to taste these wines before deciding whether to become a member. However, this minor drawback did not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the tasting experience. In conclusion, my visit to Gainey Vineyard was a truly enjoyable one. From the beautiful indoor facility to the attentive staff and excellent wine selection, it was an experience to remember. While the restriction on certain wines for non-members was a slight downside, it did little to diminish the overall positive impression I had of Gainey Vineyard. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a memorable wine tasting experience in the area.

We showed up here for some wine tastings and left as first time Wine Club Members! It did not take much convincing at all for us to sign on that dotted line. Gainey is one of just a few family legacy vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley, and boasts over 60 years, 4 generations and 3 ranches of expertise to bring you, the consumer, only the finest California wines. PSA: their gift shop is loaded with tons of goodies. You've been warned, impulse shoppers;)

This was a first stop on our way to St.Ynez. Such a great staff and the wines are excellent. We sat in the sun and enjoyed watching the small planes come in for a landing at the small airport. Beautiful views, delicious wines, sunshine and family. What could be better?

Wonderful winery and Mellisa was an amazing host. She was very friendly, helpful & informative. We went for the wine tasting and ended up signing up for the club! All the red wines we tasted were delicious and much better than another winery we had visited earlier. Happy to be a part of the club!

I love this place so much! I am so confused why they didn't get full stars. It's an amazing experience for me and my husband, we are pretty sure we will visit here again and again! Btw, don't worry about the price at all, it's very reasonable and affordable

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I did a wine tasting tour of many vineyards in the area and this by far is the best option for customer service, delicious rare wines and awesome charcuterie.
Warning do not come here if you are a minority. The service was horrible and the under tone of racist was definitely there.
