Went there today and WOW……Smallest portion sizes of fish I have ever seen…for $15 that is a joke. This place is a disgrace calling itself Poke. Shameful. And negative atmosphere and bad service. The tiny amount of fish given also gave me a stomach ache. Stay away

Saying it’s “the best poke shop in Santee” isn’t fair as if I’m not mistaken, it’s the ONLY poke shop in Santee. To be fair i’m having a hard time finding a NON-chain “go-to” poke spot in SD overall, but Ahi is… just ok. Everything about it is just ok, price a bit steep but that’s what we’ve come to expect from seafood these days. For a quick bowl of Poke, sure it gets the job done. But I’d say, strive for more than just ok, who knows, maybe whip up your own bowl at the next door Trader Joes.

So disappointed. The guy wasnt that friendly. I got the 3 protein and the end product was very small in portion in all ways. Barely any protein and toppings. I paid almost 20 bucks. Oh well. This place used to be good when they first opened.

Quality has tanked from what it was. I haven’t been here for about 6 months. Quality of food is tanked. My wife and I order poke Bowls. This was our go to spot for the last 4 years.
This time a gentleman was operating the location. One of the sauces ran out and before he refilled it he tasted it by touching the lid with his pinky and tasting. No biggie. But then he towel wiped his finger an proved to make the called in order that he was working on.
Ok we’re next. First off they are out of the monthly special. Proceeds to make out Bowls. Says he out of certain items. Watched my wife get the last scoop of spicy salmon but it didn’t register til I ordered some also and he scooped regular salmon to the spicy for flavor. Not a huge deal breaker as they flavor finicky up but he could of said she got the last scoop Rest of transaction was okay.
We stepped out side to eat and the quality of the fish is not what it used to be. The rice was cooked with too much water.
Likely the last time we’ll be eating here.

I don't enjoy hating on the local family-owned businesses but this place is easily one of the worst spots in Santee. The portions and quality are abysmal for the price if not questionable in food safety. What little food I got I didn't even risk finishing. What a shame.

Delicious food and very kind people at the register!! Whenever I want to treat myself, I go here and get a poke bowl + the taro steam buns! The buns are made fresh to order and usually are done by the time I finish my poke bowl. Just in time for dessert! 😋
The first time I ordered here I hadn't been to a poke place before, only ever had sushi. They were very patient with me while I learned how to read the menu and guided me through the steps

I come here about twice a month and I ask the owner to make me a random bowl, sometimes I’ll ask for it spicy or sweet but the ingredients I just let the owner choose and surprise me. It always comes out super good. Hands down my favorite Poke spot I highly recommend!
