Idk why the bad reviews, I came to try it first time bc I was heading to Daboba and I decided to give a try to this place, the service 10/10 and the Guava-Pinneaple boba tea and Mangonada was fire š even the price is so worth it!!!

I used to regularly get boba tea here. Especially since Hokkaido tea is hard to find. But over the last month this place has gone down hill. Their tea now just tastes like milk, and their customers service is abrasive. There are a number of other reviews echoing this experience. I gave them a last chance the other day, hoping it was just because of a new poorly trained employee. But while I waited for my drinks a young physically disabled customer told them their tea latte tasted like it was just milk. The employee I can only describe as buff Kurt Cobain, and a female employee proceeded to rudely gaslight this child and then snobbishly say āwell it is milkā. Then when I received my Thai iced teas with boba, they also tasted like just milk with boba. The vibe of this place is now, the spot with bratty teenagers who canāt even do their job.

My Brown Sugar milk tea was so NASTY, tastes so watered down with the taste of the boba there is barely any flavor. I usually get my brown sugar milk tea from other boba places but since this boba place was unfortunately near me I decided to give it a try, and I regretted this. Worst brown sugar milk tea iāve EVER had!!š¤¢

Boba Joy delivers on flavor but falls short on service. I stopped in recently and was genuinely impressed by the quality of the foodāespecially the aƧaĆ bowl, which was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Easily one of the best Iāve had anywhere.
Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by the service. The staff didnāt seem particularly well-trainedāorders were a bit confused, and there wasnāt much sense of urgency or coordination. It also took a surprisingly long time for the food to come out, especially considering the shop wasnāt very busy at the time.
If youāre not in a rush, Boba Joy is definitely worth a visit for the food alone. But if they can tighten up the front-of-house operation, it could become a true local favorite.

This boba was absolutely worst Iāve ever had, water with no flavor. I order an oolong tea and my partner got a brown sugar milk tea and one for our little one. The only thing with a hint of flavor was the slushy for the kiddo. Everything else was terrible. I wanted to get a refund or exchange but we had already left and were in hurry for the night. Pretty upset. I still might come back for a refund this on an off day. Furthermore I just want to say the people were nice and it was fairly clean in there. I do not leave reviews often. Last time I left a review it was because I found a bandaid in my sandwich at Cali Baguette express @ 5125 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115.
I ordered pickup through DoorDash, mostly for food with two drinks. When I arrived, I was shocked to find that they had canceled all my food without notifying meāonly the drinks remained. I took the time to drive all the way there, only to be told they shut off the fryers an hour before, which was when I placed my order. If thatās the case, why even allow food orders? A heads-up would have saved me the trip.
The drinks were mediocre at bestāI ended up going to Daboba across the street instead. Now, Iām still waiting for my refund since DoorDash is holding the full amount. Overall, a complete waste of time.

Really enjoyed the boba here, great flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The snacks were okay. The space itself is super nice and has a chill vibe, which made it a great spot to sit down and get some work done. Definitely a solid place to grab a drink and focus for a bit!

I always order the brown sugar milk tea and it never disappoints! I love that itās not overly sweet the way most other boba places make theirs. Their snacks are good too. Yummy egg rolls, and orange chicken.
