I’ve had some good tamales here and also enjoyed the chill relleno. On my last visit, I was a little disappointed to find two carrot in sticks in my tamale and seeds not removed from my jalapeño pepper.

@cotijas_santee offers a wide variety of delicious Mexican dishes, serving everything from chicken and beef to seafood. The portions are generous, and I loved that the food wasn’t too salty or oily — just perfectly balanced in flavor. The staff was also very friendly, even with how busy it gets. I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re in the Santee area, my fav was the surf and turf fries 😋😋

The worst breakfast burrito I ever had. Not sure it was because I'm in Santee but this thing was full of beans and ham and sour cream. No eggs in it whatsoever. The worst

Service is whack. They have an inside and outside counter. I was outside with ppl behind me and they were taking too long. Then on top of that they didn't even say ill be there in a minute or nothing. I won't waste my time again
