Excellent food and friendly, courteous staff! Pad see ew and the curry are favorites, always delicious. Usually get takeout but the interior is nice and would be good for dinning-in.

Giving Khao San Thai 5 stars for delicious food, great customer service, clean restaurant, and very reasonable prices. The restaurant is a bit hidden but if you are ever in the area, stop in! You will not be disappointed! Thai food lovers and those who have not had Thai food, I highly recommend.

Got take out panang beef curry and beef pad see ew. Panang is more on the lighter side but the veggies were fresh and the meat was tender.

Pad see ew had a big portion and had lots of beef. The veggies were cooked perfectly and not overcooked. Overall a pretty decent place for takeout especially in East county. Would come back again.

Disappointing. This was one of the last places in Santee you could find a decent lunch (entree + side) for under $12. I visited the restaurant recently and the prices jumped 25%; the same lunch special is now $15. The food was mediocre and strip mall vibe not really a place you want to stick around for. Just not worth it...

My wife and I went to this small restaurant to celebrate her birthday. What an excellent dining experience! Excellent fresh food at a price that won't break your wallet. Very friendly service! Very nice and polite as well! Food presentation was beautiful! I'm surprised this place isn't more packed. Although there was a steady stream of take out orders. Absolutely great and will surly be dining here again!

Honestly. I don't think this is Thai food at all There's no Thai flavors. They do not use real Thai chili's in there food,Very disappointed Literally no thai spices, I will not go back And I do not recommend this place.

Tried this location for the first time. Enjoyed the food and the prices were more than reasonable for the portions. We did a combination of lunches and dinner plates as a to go order and everything was fresh and tasty. Our lunches with chicken was approx 12 each and included rice and a small soup. Soup was delicious!I also ordered their Beef Salad which thankfully they put the dressing on the side so the greens stayed crisp. (I’ve been to many Thai restaurants and they often put it on which makes the greens soggy by the time you get home and no good for leftovers). The flavors were right on.Will definitely return!

i just want to start off by saying as soon as i walked in it wasn’t busy at all, but i noticed an employee in the back cleaning and wiping on counters. it’s always good to see workers cleaning and being productive on slow days instead of doing nothing. the cashier was a younger guy, and he had amazing service. especially considering if this is his first job. he offered me a lunch special menu, and asked if i needed any help finding something specific.

i got the lunch special spicy noodle (drunken noodles) with chicken. spice level is out of 10 and i got 5, wasn’t spicy at all but i could taste the spice. while i was paying i was offered a drink by the cashier and i said just a water. he let me know the estimate of when my food will be out and i sat down. to my suprise i had no idea he was going to come out with a lemon water in a glass. i was fully expecting a water cup. i thought that was a great touch and he handed it to me.

everytime i go to thai places i try to order a thai milk tea when available. i have had A LOT of thai milk teas. so i ordered one and it was once again, surprisingly very good. one of the best thai milk teas i ever had. i would ask for light ice next time, but very flavorful tea. balanced taste of the tea and milk, not too milky.

i got my food and i had napkins and untensils in my bag which doesn’t happen often. the drunken noodles was very flavorful and the chicken was not rubbery at all despite some reviews claiming to be. it came with steamed rice as a side, and you have other options too that isn’t rice. it was very good rice, even my mom commented on how good it smelled.

overall very good food, amazing service, and good drink options. i will be returning!!!
