Just a few days ago was my first experience here and no doubt not my last. I expected low quality considering the location and the fact that nobody local has been talking about it lately, but I was very pleasantly surprised when the quality was amazing. I usually choose Bad Hombres because of its local popularity but I may start choosing this instead.. Very good experience and recommended to anyone that needs a new favorite Mexican restaurant.

The taco is absolutely massive. Each one has about a quarter pound of meat. The food isn't that oily and the ingredients seem fresh. Definitely a K.I.S.S

Los Amigos has been my go to casual Mexican food for decades. The food is consistently good and the order is always right. It great to see a local business survive and improve for decades !
I love their food. I am kinda a US Mexican Food purist and snob. But Los Amigos is really good. The refried beans always taste fresh and flavorful. The Carne asada is flavorful without being overpowering. The burritos are delicious. The tacos are delicious. The quesadillas are delicious. The staff is very friendly. I would say this is the best Mexican food in Santee (that I have tried).
