They charge a 14.5% surcharge on your meal. I could find nothing on the menu that stated that. Nonetheless it was there at the end of the meal. Food was fair. The bbq pork was dry, the fried rice was only warm. The soup was just above room temperature. The service was just fair. They took our order, brought food ,the end. We have gone to panda since the early 80's. Probably not going back.

They charge a 14.5% surcharge on our meal. Nothing on the menu stated this. Food was fair. Soup was just above room temperature. Egg rolls were just warm. All of the appetizers were just warm. Main courses were ok, however the bbq pork was very dry. We've been going to Panda since the early 80's probably not going back. Sad.

Flavor in food was extremely lacking and bland. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special with fried rice, egg drop soup and a cabbage egg roll as well as the vegetable delight with the same addition items. Everything was bland, bland, BLAND. Kung Pao didn't have the traditional smokey flavor nor red coloring that is common of those dish. Egg drop soup tasted like powder mix and the "egg roll" was just fried cabbage. Considering the lunch special price, I guess it's not surprising but left feeling disappointed and it didn't satisfy our craving for Chinese food. I found a long hair in my food and the manager was kind enough to remake my order. It was extremely busy this day. Would not come again. My 2nd time here and I remembered having a similar disappointing experience when it came to their food, unfortunately.

Ordered for the first (and LAST) time as take out. Ordered Mongolian beef: way too many onions, brown sauce salty, so I am happy I ordered a side of sauce, which I doctored with brown sugar to give it the sweetness it should have been. However, that didn’t help the tough beef, which was way too thick. Also ordered the Kung Pao Chicken which was heavy with cut up zucchini and chopped peppers, and unfortunately had NO flavor. Ordered the WonTon Soup and have never had so many vegetables as this had and was extremely bland, so added Soy to give it flavor. Also ordered Crispy noodles which were thick and not light like I normally get at other Chinese restaurants and the sauce was like applesauce with maybe apricot jelly or something mix in. So, very disappointing and will continue to check other restaurants that actually know how to prepare the above food entries. No recommended items!Parking: Santee parking lot in Vons shopping center.

We ordered take out online. We ordered the item C9: Kung Pao San Yan and it costs $17.99. I thought it was expensive for an entree, but historically this place has been good. I came home and opened the bag and there was no rice, only the to-go container of the entree and two forture cookies. I called them up right away explaining there was no rice in the bag. The woman said rice was a separately orderable item online. I did not argue, just told them I have never been to a Chinese restaurant and bought an entree (especially for $17.99) without getting rice. If you look at their menu: All entree's say: SERVED WITH RICE at the top. I do have to say that the food is still good. It just that the service and clarity of what your ordering sucks. So, the total cost including: Entree Kung Pao San Yan $17.99 Service Charge $0.75 Tax 7.75% $1.45 Gratuity 18.09% $3.39 Total $23.58 What a rip off just for the entree in a to-go box and two forture cookies. I am not going back

We found this one, after the one closed during the pandemic off of Clariemont. Not sure if there is any relation between the 2. Came Saturday early afternoon, greeted and seated right away. We ordered the dinner for 2 where we got appetizer, soup, and an entree. They are very very generous with serving sizes, we forgot ourselves and couldn't eat it all. But who doesn't like left overs? Food came out hot and quick! And most importantly tasty! When I say tasty, it has a very nice flavor and freshness with vegetables and meat cook to order. I had the pheasant soong chicken, chicken lettuce cups essentially. Generous size, definitely enough to share for 2, comes with rice of choice. Nice and coated, not dry and smooth tender chicken. Would get again. The 3 ingredient taste, a surf n turf with shrimp and beef. A little on the bland side, but in plenty of shrimp and meat. The wor wonton soup, broth was a nice veggie taste with the added ingredients veggies, shrimp and meat wonton. Not my favorite personally only bc the pieces were so big, it felt more like a meal it self, however can appreciate it for what it is. The appetizer came with fried egg rolls, cream cheese wonton, shrimp, meat sticks... plenty plenty plenty of food. The price per person serves well for what you get and the amount of food. We enjoyed it, not enough to call a favorite place... but a place we will add in rotation where we and when we eat different types of food. Solid 4 stars maybe 3.5 however service was speedy and friendly and they pack up your leftovers. Plenty of parking Restrooms are clean Very lovely inside and can seat large parties! Enjoy!

Mediocre food at best, fried rice was bland and chop suey is nothing more than steamed vegetables with some sprouts. Not real Chinese food, I dare to say it's as authentic as Panda Express. Will never return to this place.

Normally the food here is decent but after ordering almost $100 from them today I am less than impressed. The sweet and sour sauce tasted rancid, the crisy noodles for the war wonton soup were stale and the crispy beef was not crispy at all. Guess I'll have to find another Chinese place for next time...

I'm starting to suspect this is not the original Panda Country from Horton plaza! I understand the whole shrinkflation thing, save a buck but you should never cut back the quality! Man, this food is Bland! I could have bought better food from the grocery store! Dude , I'm from Philly so I definitely know what general chicken is supposed to taste like. Lol, they tried to lowball and disrespect my intelligence and serve me orange chicken and call it General Tso...really?
