Santana's Mexican Grill

It was the first time visiting Santana’s and what a surprise. We ordered veggie burritos that are bigger than other taco shops. Fresh ingredients and very well served. The salsas were fresh and spicy. Definitely, we will return.

Prices have gone up which I understand but I was just there got 2 tacos the meat in the taco was fried tasted like straw got a casadida and it was very greasy used to go there alot but wasn't happy so stopped going thought I would try again but won't go back

It was great food. Nice and spacious. Conveniently next to the car wash. The service was awesome! After 8 years, it's still perfect! Muchos gracias!

Very disappointed at the quesomuch quesadilla. It tasted like if I was eating a pizza with tons of tomato paste.

If you’re going to charge me $15 for a carne asada burrito? It should at least be full.

Tijuana tacos are the best this side of the border! I am a traveling sales rep and have eaten tacos all over Southern California but Santana's in San Diego always take me across to Tijuas without having to be stuck in that long four hour wait in line to get back! Best bang for your buck too! Authentic Mexican Music being played is an added plus!
P.S. SD tacos > LA tacos and I don't say that lightly!

The last time I went here was probably a week ago. I ordered adobada chips and I said to not add any sour cream. The first issue is that the guy taking orders could not understand what I was saying to him. I'm not trying to make fun of him because he didn't speak English well but if you're going to put somebody on the microphone to take orders then you should make sure that person can understand what people are saying to him. I said my order and then he repeated it back to me incorrectly three different times until I had to go to the window and say it there. I made it clear I didn't want sour cream and because I said it to him and he said it back to me I thought everything was fine but when I got home it had sour cream in it. It was late so I didn't go back to fix it but I'm not very happy about that situation. It has happened to me before and it is my fault for not rechecking the order but I figured since I said it's him so many times he would have gotten it right. I think that a person taking orders should be speaking English better and understanding it better as well because in Santee I don't see that many Spanish speakers. If you go here to eat I would recommend that when you get your order that you double check it before you leave. Pull off somewhere into the parking lot and double check your order.

Dependable good food! The woman who helped us at the drive-thru gave the impression and pride of quality as if she owned the place. This is a top-tier fast Mex place.

Food is really good there, I like their Bueno Dias burrito. The serving staff is a bit lack luster but the building is nice for a Mexican take out place.

We started going to santanas when they first opened. We stopped going for a couple of years due to some not so good experiences. Earlier this month we decided to give them another chance and we were very pleased with the food so we went again today and the food was again delicious. I can see they have a much better cook, so we will be returning customers. Thank you for making much needed improvements.
