I have come here often with friends and family that live in the Bay Area and also those visiting from out of town. This place never fails and always lives up to its standard of lively but comfortable ambience, unbeatable views, amazing, delicious food, and great location.  grateful for the parking nearby in Ferry access.

Definitely a place to check out with awesome views, good atmosphere and service in general. Cons: the food was not that good and the portion of the soup i ordered (lobster bisque) was super small 1/4th of the bowl for the price is not what i was expecting, portion wise other than that our wine was delicious, the BBQ ribs were good and the bread pudding was great.

We were terribly disappointed with Barrel House. We don't mind paying for high quality food and service, but the steak (medium rare) was so tough it was almost impossible to cut. The rest of the food was mediocre. I understand the 20% gratuity for a table of six, but the service was so slow, we had to flag our waiter for everything, had to ask the busser to take our dirty plates, and remind them we were celebrating a birthday. Do not recommend.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Barrel House Tavern, celebrating my son's birthday. The food and drinks were exceptional, the view from our table window was beautiful and the ambience warm and comfortable. What impressed me the most was the support shown by the maître d to his staff. The restaurant was busy but the service did not suffer. The maître d greeted customers, took drink and appetizer orders and checked in to ensure everyone was happy. We already look forward to a return visit.
