Made a reservation 2 months in advance and my request was not honored. There is a shouting match going on in the front dining room. The noise level is horrific. My requests was for the back room. I was told the back room was noisier. However, we've dined at Scoma's in Sausalito for decades and know what our preferences are. Will not be returning. Miserable evening.
Amazing staff, food is always phenomenal, and the location is my favorite part. During the right time, any table on the dock/water is the best.
I had the Spanish style octopus. It was a red sauce with smoked paprika. Quite good and plenty of meat. The octopus was overcooked so it lacked the good slightly chewy texture. Sauce was tasty but was weak on garlic. I also had a caesar salad. Good crisp lettuce with grating cheese and an adequate dressing. However, I doubt if it used a raw egg and there was no worstershire sauce— kind of a suburban, keep it bland dish. And where are the anchoview? After all, it's a seAfood restaurant. Seriously should have two caesar salads on the menu: one that is safe like the one they already serve and a second one that is a true caesar with the egg, heat and anchovies. I also had a low alcohol mixed drink. It's a nice touch for those who want more than a mocktail but who are watching alcohol intake. I wanted a glass of red wine but their by their wines by the glass are extremely limited and very overpriced. It was a pleasant meal for one but just as I experienced at SF Fisherman's Wharf Scoma, nothing “blew me away”.
Sausalito prices, but great quality
I enjoyed my meal at Scoma had a great table by the water. I would recommend this restaurant for the food, the ambience and the good service.
Always a wonderful experience eating at Scoma's! Thank you for being so kind and accommodating on our birthday.
Our anniversary dinner was wonderful. The service was excellent. There was a large rambunctious group next to us which created a lot of unnecessary noise. All other tables were keeping quiet conversations.

Good food, good service in casual setting, w Mason jars used for wine, very fresh fish, kinda expensive, but we love it.

Consistently perfect. We come here every time we're in the area. Haven't had anything that isn't delicious.
Unfortunately they didn't have the halibut today. They recommended the swordfish which was good but not as flakey or tender as the usual.

This was pretty over hyped. Had the fish over pasta, and it was extremely bland. Fish was ok, but everything had zero spices / seasoning.
Cool location I guess.

The food was delicious, the service of the waiters was excellent, and the location was incomparable.
Excellent service. I was sorry you did not offer the Dungeones Crab that you do at the downtown restaurant. Increase the outdoor seating to the area on the bay like the Trident offers next door!
My annual trip to San Francisco always culminates with a celebratory dinner at Scoma. What a great meal with great service! The Ling Cod was perfect, the clams we prepared perfectly. Accompanied nicely with a French sauvignon blanc. Will be back next year. Can't wait!
Great food and great vibes. Fish smash burger and trout hot dog were both delicious
