my first time here at MJ sushi and the portions are incredible. You get twice as much food as any other sushi restaurant in Marin County. The food is fresh and the service is lovely. Highly recommend.

Nice new place. Sushi was delicious. Spicy tuna had actual spice. Was not over sauced. Yummy miso. Sushi roll bites are a bit large, would have preferred it cut into 8 pieces. So much ginger and wasabi provided. I also think your tip options would be better if they didn’t start at 15%, people mostly tip 20% or more - staff is losing out.

The food here is exceptional! Great place if you need a quick bite on your lunchbreak. Ordering ahead for pickup is so convenient. Prices are fair and the staff are wonderful.

We ordered a sashimi platter and the quality of the fish was so poor that we needed to send it back. It was sliced really thick and tasted terrible. We will never go here again. Truly disgusting. I don't know how a sushi restaurant thinks they can stay in business serving terrible fish. We were excited about another sushi restaurant in Sausalito but this is just awful. Do not go here!

Our favorite sushi place in Sausalito! We absolutely love MJ Sushi — it’s our go-to spot for fresh, delicious sushi and a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious and relaxing, never too noisy even when it’s busy. The servers Yanis and Jane are always friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, checking on every detail. The sushi chefs Jun and Jacky make everything beautifully fresh, and once they even made a special roll that wasn’t on the menu — it was amazing! And special thanks to Ken, who’s always working hard in the kitchen and brings such a positive energy — we really appreciate everyone’s effort. We love this place — the food, the vibe, and the people. Highly recommend! 🍣💕
Tried this sushi spot a month ago. Food was okay, but man, the service was bad. One of the servers smelled like heavy smoke, I can’t deal with that, especially in a sushi place that’s supposed to feel clean. The chef also looked super grumpy and ignored me when I said bye. I’ll just stick to takeout next time. Prices are low anyway.

I don’t know why this place isn’t packed. We are visiting from out of town and wanted reasonably priced but fresh sushi. MJ Sushi is delicious! We had the Honey Walnut Roll, BB Roll, Hot Mama Roll and 2 orders of Pork Gyoza and everything was FABULOUS. Food was made right in our line of sight and came out fresh and fast. Perfect meal by the bay. Check this place out!!

Recommended by a friend. Hidden away and at the North end of Sausalito, this is a place everyone should try. Food was delicious with ample portions = great value. Fish was fresh and sashimi was thickly sliced. At the moment, the restaurant was offering complimentary first round of non- alcoholic beverages each paying guest ie soft drinks and ramune. Service is also top notch. We will definitely come back and you should too. Need to keep local places like this in business.

Food is average for a Bay Area Japanese restaurant, but prices are low. This is probably the best priced sushi in Marin County. Tempura is a very good value. I will eat here again.
