Outstanding food and service! Our server "Jam" was sensational . Our second visit in two weeks and definitely willm be back again.
Restaurant experience was fine as always but Open Table is not giving me points for the reservation for some reson. Always got them in the past.
Six of us dined we were all happy with our food (though a tad disappointed that they were out of halibut, replaced with sole). Service was friendly and proficient and mostly attentive. The restaurant was packed on a Thursday evening and we were happy to be seated at one end of the dining room because it is quite noisy. It is a good value for money and we happy that a corkage fee of $30 was waived when we purchased another bottle. My wife and I had not been to the restaurant for quite a long time and will be returning.
wonderful place to catch up with friends or have a romantic dinner. We love Poggio. Food was delicious - try the octopus and the mushroom risotto - delish! We had a wonderful time with our friends. Waiter was attentive, warm, and hilarious in an Italian witty way. Oh, and the lime pudding for dessert. My mom's favorite for years, and now mine.
Was fantastic! Food was excellent. Had well behaved kids and Poggio was accommodating for kids while still being very upscale. Had a great time. Will be back!
It was a most spectacular dinner! Our waiter was the best! I had their special crab pasta ....they made it without cream because of my milk allergy. It was silky and flavorful...lots of garlic. Our booth was warm and quiet to enjoy or conversation. Thank You
Great place with an even greater menu. Warm chocolate molten cake was worth every calorie!
1st time...Our experience was amazing. The food was superb, from the appetizer's to our main dishes and desserts. And our server Stephanie was spectacular!
Very disappointed- I dine here at least once a month. The service was not good and lots of confusion - bringing food we didn't order, wrong food, etc. our waitress was nice but she'd disappear and not return for a bit. The restaurant was not busy at all - don't know what was going on.
Food was excellent as always. We had the seasonal ricotta & butternut squash filled ravioli w/ brown butter & hazelnuts with a glass of rich chardonnay to start. Delish! We chose the mixed baby greens for a refreshing intermezzo. With a Sicilian Cab from our cellar, we had one order of the (to die for) short ribs -- honestly the best we could remember anywhere. Oak grilled ribeye was good also. Service was not up to Poggio's usual standard, but it wouldn't stop us from coming back!

Food was tasty as always. Delicious cocktails and good service. As there were only 2 of us we were sat at tables with raffia chairs which wasn't great and the lady behind me had her chair pushed way back so I hardly had any space and could her every word of her conversation.....
Once a year, Poggio has white truffles for two weeks. Oh my gosh, what a decadent amazing treat. Worth every penny. I wish I had our waiters name because he was extraordinary and made the whole experience even more special. Poggio always has the most amazing atmosphere so it's 10 out of 10.
Special bday dinner and what a wonderful place to enjoy with our friends, and it was truffle week!
We had breakfast here. The eggs benedict was very unusual and very good. They used crusty rustic bread instead of an English muffin, the ham was thinly sliced, and there was roasted garlic mixed in with the potatoes. My wife had the croissant panini which was on the same bread, not a croissant. It was explained that this was the way they make it. So we did not know what to expect at dinner, but it was a disappointment. The place was packed but the service was nonetheless attentive. That said, the food was bland and non-distinguished. We ordered the tagliatelle and the pappardelle, and both were nondescript. Unlike the eggs benedict, there was nothing to set them apart from the generic Italian pasta dishes you might get at a chain like Olive Garden. It was very disappointing, especially at premium prices. The next time we are in Sausalito we will try somewhere else.
Poggio remains one of my two favorite restaurants in Marin (along with Sushi Ran). Great food, great service, warm ambience. I struggle with the fact that the coffee is frequency not hot, and this time it was barely warm, but they brewed a fresh (and hot) pot.
