Having grown up in the area this is hands down one of my favorite spots! The couple that owns and runs the deli are always lovely, and the homemade food and sandwiches speak for themselves. Also, solid drink and snack selection with a super pretty patio out back!

Super rude staff that point to a board when you ask what is on a sandwich (the board is super unclear and not easy to understand). The food was ok, but get over your pretentious selves and treat people with respect. I would not go back or recommend. Clearly others have had the same experience if you read the reviews.

Overpriced ordered a sandwich and deviled egg with two waters total was $37. Sandwich was $15 egg $3. Apparently a 12 oz pelligrino is $9 each. Bread was not that good either sourdough was very hard. Also grabbed a kombucha realized it was expired by a few months grabbed another to see the same thing ended up with $9 waters instead.

I’m a local. Needed a quick sandwich decided to stop in. Walked in and stood inside, no other patrons, and the two workers behind the corner. No one even acknowledged me for about 4-5 min.
I ordered a rueben with no mustard, an ice tea and a bag of chips.
Rueben came with mustard on it and my bill was $26.35!! Crazy expensive for a “meh” experience.
No mention of a credit card charge but I guessing that was the upcharge?
The garden was lovely but pretty unlikely I’ll come back again.
Boo. :-(

This is my favorite gem in Marin. While the rest of the county seems to move into fast-paced retail and corporate business, this Gourmet Deli retains its charm, hospitality, and delicious food.

Excellent service, care, and setting; a special place nestled in Sausalito. An authentic, family-run business. Five stars - above and beyond.

The food was good. We got a variety of sandwiches. All of us didn’t really care for the bread strangely enough. If we are back in town we would return.

We stopped here on the way down into San Fran/Monterey. Perfect atmosphere and great sandwiches! The garden setting was a nice break from our long road trip! So thankful for this little shop and their kind owners that we met.

Visiting with a group from Canada. The coolest hole in the wall spot! Genuine Italian delicatessen owned by an Italian couple for 50 years! The deli sandwiches are amazing. The bread is perfectly soft with a perfect crust. And the pasta salad and baked goods are also delicious. We had zero wait and loved the garden backyard patio. We would eat here again!
