Had the seafood Paella for lunch. Prompt friendly service. Nice view. Well worth making reservations
Excellent, delicate food. Stupendous views of the Bay and of the rich people's boats sailing by ;-)
We had mentioned that this was a birthday celebration at the time of the reservation. The desk commented when we arrived. Server made no mention of it and nothing more was said. No complementary dessert! Very disappointed as it was an 87th birthday!
We loved our whole experience. I booked at the last minute and was treated to one of the best tables with a beautiful view of San Francisco, the bay and sailboats. Our dinner began with wonderful oysters Rockefeller. Our entrees were delicious and desert with cappuccino was just as good. The wine selections were reasonably priced and varied. I would recommend this restaurant in Sausalito.
We had a delicious dinner last night in a spectacular setting on San Francisco Bay, facing the most beautiful view of San Francisco and Angel Island. The service is professional and the floor-to-ceiling windows deliver unmatched views. Additionally, the free valet parking at the front door is a bonus, and it cannot be matched anywhere for ease and convenience. Thank you, Spinnaker, for another special evening in beautiful Sausalito.
Very special. Table with a wonderful view across to San Francisco and to witness the diverse activity in the ocean - and the pelicans swopping to and fro. Excellent food and cocktails.
Very good food, good service and a real beautiful setting overlooking San Francisco and the Bay.
Wonderful lunch with friend in from Wisconsin on her birthday. Started by sharing the seafood sampler with delicious smoked salmon, shrimp, prawn, and an oyster. Was her first time trying a raw oyster and she loved it (took home the shell to brag about it!) There was also some tiny yellow sweet tomatoes shaped like tear drops - we found out they were sweet peppers! Entrees were chicken parmesan that was quite the portion size, so we got a to go box. Although there was a seafood combo plate, I really only wanted all mussels (a dish only on the dinner menu) but our server Gregorio asked the chef and he obliged at lunchtime. even though there were 3 unopened ones, all the others were delicious and the broth was great for dipping. Desserts were a hot fudge sundae for the birthday girl, and a gelato/Tony Spumoni combo for me. The water activities (kayaks, pelicans, sailboats, etc.) right out our table window kept us entertained throughout.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! I've come here for years now...My belated father brought me here years ago, and i'll continue to come as long as they are open...Thank you for the WONDERFUL LUNCH yesterday!! See you're staff, real soon!!
Food was just OK, filet mignon was small and thin. My wife had the scrimp and it was not cooked very well. My friend left her purse in bar. We could not find it, so we asked the matradee if anyone had turned it in. He said no. We called the phone in her purse and the purse was behind the matradee stand behind a table (!). I suspect an employee was hiding it? Very weird. On top of all that the tables around us were served before us (even though we were there 40 minutes earlier). We waited almost an hour for our meal. Really disappointing evening at a place I had always enjoyed eating at. not going there again

We had a wonderful luncheon experience at the Spinnaker. This is our "go to" spot when going to San Francisco. The views are amazing, with excellent food and service.
Enjoyed an amazing lunch and exceptional service, with beautiful views of the Bay. Everything was wonderful! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Sausalito or the San Francisco area.
The food was overall good but it was the views that stole the show. We watched a porpoise pop up from time to time in the water just outside the window. No table has a bad view of the city and the bay. A must visit in the area!
One of our favorite places for fish especially, and a top three Bay and SF view. Rather pricey. Service this time was very slow at the beginning, then was OK. It looked like not enough waiters. This was a 1:30 reservation on a busy Sunday. Perfect weather.
This was our first time to Spinnaker as we were visiting from out of town from Chicago and took in a visit to Sausalito after spending an afternoon at Muir Woods. My son and his partner joined us (they live near Berkley) and this was also their first visit to Spinnaker. There were a couple of highlights and a couple not so great moments but not terrible. First, we were 30 minutes early for our reservation on a Saturday night and the folks that greeted us couldn't have been nicer to seat us early. No go have a seat at the bar while we get things ready. But it was a Saturday and not overly crowded either. The ambience of this restaurant is obviously the highlight with floor to ceiling windows and views of the bay. We got a very nice table by a window (requested in the reservation) looking towards the San Fran Skyline. The menu is seafood and pasta with a little bit of meat and chicken. You are definitely there for the seafood. We ordered crab cake appetizer which came as two about the size of a bottom of a round water glass for $20. It was good but not great for two people to share. My wife and son split a salad and pulled out what looked like a root or something that maybe was from some sort of lettuce or vegetable. We showed it to the person who cleared our plates, and she sort of shrugged and said I don't know what that is exactly. Neither did we. My wife is vegan and she asked if she could get a stir fry of veggies that were a mix like what was with the bay scallops but of course without the scallops. I got the scallops with the same veggies. It was $32 and they ended up charging my wife for the whole scallops and veggie dish. Hmmmm not cool since if I knew that I could have asked for her scallops. But $32 for a bowl of stir-fried veggies over some jasmine rice is not a good value. My son got mahi mahi and his partner the Brazini special ($42). Both were good but we think pricey. Desserts were good. Waitress spilled a drink on table next to us though. Yikes.
