First time dining at The Trident, I was expecting a more lively place, but there were only six people there, and we were two of them. Food was good and the waiter was great.

Went here for a Saturday birthday brunch - this used to be one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Sausalito years ago. The ambience and space are still great, but the food and service are not. An hour into our meal, we had only received appetizers and the initial drink order. App plates had been sitting empty for quite awhile. No one had checked on us, our water glasses had also been empty for way too long, and we thought maybe we had been forgotten. The main dishes finally arrived over an hour after we sat down, and did not meet expectations. The busser didn't bring water or ask if we needed new drinks. Sandwich seemed microwaved and was bland, hash was also bland with a strange little bowl of cut grapes and fruit on the side like a kids meal. When the server did eventually come by, we ordered a drink that never arrived and no one noticed or acknowledged it. All in all very disappointing for a fairly expensive celebratory meal we drove an hour to experience. The restaurant didn't seem that busy - either they were understaffed or they just don't care about service.

Wonderful food, ambience, and view... quality was a little lacking for the price point, but an absolutely wonderful experience

My partner and I sat down for dinner immediately by the host and all seating areas were available. My partner and I, from there were given little to no service. With a restaurant so empty, it was mind boggling why our server did not attend to us. He let the soup bowls and then salad plates, just sit there when we were done. The surf and turf steak arrived 30 mins later… it tasted like expired meat and the lobster like plastic. Not sure if they thought buttering the meat would hide the bad quality but we just paid and left. Our server didn’t bother asking how’s the food because I’m sure he knew it was not good. Go here for a cocktail to enjoy the view, but save yourself the stomach ache. Eat anywhere else in Sausalito.

What a great dining experience! We all loved our dinners. Two of us enjoyed the pan seared Halibut. It was prepared and presented perfectly! One of us ordered a special special. The Abalone! Rarely found on menus today it was prepared perfectly! Tender and delicious! As requested, we were seated inside at a table by a window. The view was spectacular! A panoramic view of the bay and the city of San Francisco. It was fun to see all the boats pass by as we enjoyed our dinners. We have dined here several times and have never been disappointed.

The signature tequila sunrise.. $18 for a fruit juice with effectively .. in my opinion .. a splash of tequila. Keith and Mick me thinks.. would have been disappointed. We came in for brunch. Just a guess but maybe the bar manager is economizing. We had one a year ago that was A+ Maybe ask people if they want a standard or light pour? My drink was one of a batch made that included another table which is fine. Servers were lovely, it’s a great location with a storied past. We’ll go back

Excellent variety of fresh seafood. Wonderful views of SF across the water on clear days. If you're lucky, you'll get glimpses of pelicans, seals, or even dolphins.

They charged us $12 to park our bikes here for 30 minutes. Highway robbery. And to make it worse my helmet was stolen when I got back. Thanks a lot Trident.
