UPDATE: At the request of the manager, here’s some more detail on my 3-star experience. The first impression of The Trident was being greeted by an overpowering urine smell coming from the bathrooms by the door. Service was poor and not particularly engaging nor attentive. The deck and tables were not tidy or particularly appealing, with rusty heaters held together with tape. My meal was unpleasant-fish that seemed like it was about to go bad, a bland rice medley, and a pile of broccolini. The music (reggae) seemed to be a “staff pick” and not an intentional decision to enhance the atmosphere. I hope it was a one-off, but my experience is one where I simply cannot recommend someone dines here.

The view you can enjoy from the terrace is spectacular, while enjoying cocktails or one of the dishes on the menu. The service is carried out with professionalism and a friendly manner.

If I can give negative stars, I would right of the back. We waited for a host to come to our table for 15 minutes. Then, when our waitress finally showed up, the look on her face was, "I hate life, I don't want to serve or take orders anymore." We received our water after 10 minutes of being asked what we want to drink. Then, once we finally gave our order, we waited, and after 35 minutes, we asked for bread as our food was still not ready. finally, after a short 45 minutes of waiting, we received our food. My salmon was allegedly seared, but it looked burnt. My better half food looked so plain, throw up looked tastier. My salmon was the length of two index fingers, and I'm being generous here. The steamed or sautedaded veggies were ok, but not like, omg, I want more. The salmon, after removing the burnt part, had absolutely no flavor. It was horrendous, hideous at best. We told the server, and allegedly, it was brought the owner or managers attention. I did not eat the salmon, nor did my better half eat her food at all. It was the worst meal ever in my entire life. That's what 86 dollars gets you in this area. Food that just wants to make you throw up. I fact I ended up throwing up the food late at night as that was my last meal. They still charged us after we complained, and 80 percent of the food was not touched or eaten. I would rather go to a dumpster to eat food than go eat from this place again. Go else where. The food, the service, was beyond atrocious. The atmosphere is great, I will say that, sitting outside and right next to the ocean, Yes, please. As for the food, staff, place, etc, monkeys can do a better job, That's right. Monkey's.

I got the Aloha plate during their Aloha night on Friday. They had a live band. Disappointed on my food.. 2 huge cups of rice... macaroni salad which tasted like store bought and 2 small slices of marinated Korean short ribs. It was practically all fat for $20. Certainly not going back for Aloha night.Great band and atmosphere.. service was fine... but you need a new chef...

Atmosphere was excellent.. What a gorgeous view;however the food was mediocre. i had the short ribs...the marinate was good but there was hardly any meat just bones and fat, 2 huge scoop of rice and macaroni salad which tasted like store bought. They need a new chef but the service was fine. I went with my girlfriends Aloha night.Parking: Get there early and park 3 blocks away in the residential area.Wheelchair accessibility: Trident has wooden planks...The restaurant is on the water...

Stopped by this place on a beautiful sunny day, it was a weekday mid afternoon and the place had just a few customers. What a MISTAKE. TWENTY FIVE minutes went by and not one of their "good for nothing" employees stopped by to help. Before leaving decided to ask for the manager who identified himself as Carlos, and indicated he was the manager for the day. He offered no apology nor he said he'd do something about it. GREAT JOB, MR. Manager for the day. There is a nice bakery across the street where they have wonderful coffee and a delicious pastries!

Service and Bloody Mary were great however the food was horrible and definitely overpriced. The Calimari, not sure what it was but it didn't taste or look anything remotely like Calimari. Before we ordered it, we asked if it came with the tentacles and the server said yes. Not one tentacle was in the order. When we asked her about it she brought over a small dish of just tentacles. We found that very odd especially with the small tight circles that were supposedly "Calimari". They were like rubber and very chewy...definitely NOT Calimari. The seafood appetizer platter tasted like frozen old seafood. We were very disappointed and will never go back.

Scomas was closed on Tuesday so we stopped here for an early dinner. My wife had the Clam Chowder bowl with a side of Caesar salad. I had the Combo crab and shrimp Louie salad. Both were good. The Chowder bowl could have been a bit larger though. Ambience is wonderful with views of the bay and service was very good. If you can, ask for a window seat if they're available!

Spectacular location, with a terrace overlooking the sea overlooking San Francisco and tables often "occupied" by seagulls flying over the place. We ate excellent fish and chips, and drank some excellent wine, but the food takes second place compared to the atmosphere of serenity and celebration together that you can enjoy by spending an hour there, obviously if with the sun as happened to us Better!
