Bruce’s Twisted BBQ came by my apartment community today and it was sooo yummy and reminded me so much of family gathering over a smoker in the country. I don’t want to assume but I’m going to guess Bruce’s wife runs the register, whoever she was, she was so kind and helpful in deciding what to order! Ended up going with the pulled pork meal over the sloppy joe (which they let me try after I ordered and can positively say it was 🔥 🔥🔥 DEFINITELY will be ordering that one if we ever cross paths again!). the pulled pork was savory and the spicy bbq sauce was delicious, I would have liked a little more but that’s just a preference thing, not sure if the bun was store bought or not but my only opinion (which means nothing) is that I wished it had been a little more “fresh-bread like,” but even then the bread they chose brought me back the the family bbq when you had to run to store real quick and pick up some buns (if that makes sense?) The fries were hot and perfectly crispy, the mac salad was creamy and had this awesome “pickle like” tartness to it that I loved, it had black olives and carrots in it for those who are curious. This is not related to the food itself but I witnessed such a sweet moment where it seemed like Bruce was showing his son or idk, some young boy, the ropes of serving in the truck, that felt so special to see. Anyways, overall a delicious bite that brings back good memories.

Family run and operated, the best BBQ in the area. definitely a must stop if you're in Shadow Hills! Bruce is such a standup guy and both him and his son give great service and work hard to make the best food. The Brisket Rice Bowl, The Tri-Tip Sandwich, and The Philly Cheesesteaks we ordered were so delicious and had solid portions. Even if they are closed the convenience store that they are in will sell his cold cut sandwiches, togo sides and pre-marinated ribs out of the deli display fridge. I love the food and I'll be back for more. Shoutout Bruce for his love of the BBQ game!

Bruce’s Twisted BBQ is amazing!! A gem of shadow hills and an absolute requirement if you’re in the area! We have tried the bbq brisket rice bowls, philly steak sandwich, tri tip sandwich, fench fries, and potato salad. All SO good! Bruce and his sons run everything and are incredibly nice. We will definitely be back again soon and we can’t recommend it enough!

Delicious BBQ pork ribs and I got a great trip tip salad ? The rack of ribs seal in sections so you can eat some and freeze for later if you don't want to eat the whole rack. The pouches you just boil the for 5 minutes or so and they are ready to eat.
