They moved to their new location they're not on the back of the gas station anymore they're in the old Taco building right across the street the food's really good their services are really fast they're kind of getting up there and price though

Food: Not bad at all, but not the best either! It hits the spot for Chinese take out. But was not super flavorful, nor the huge portions that reviews have said it is. The chow mein had barely any chicken or veg. Sesame chicken was good! I liked that it seems to be breast meat.
Service: Also not bad. We ordered sesame chicken lunch special to go about a month ago. Got home and realized it was the wrong order and couldn’t just go back to return (We live near Shasta lake but not in Shasta lake). Called and let them know. I had to repeat about 5 times. The guy kept asking what it was we had got. It was some sort of spicy chicken with noodles and veges. but eventually said we could come back for a free replacement sometime and took my number for it. Went back in yesterday for it as we were driving by Shasta Lake, and gave them my number and they had to he info there on their system and already knew what my order was that needed to be replaced without me saying. Got my box in about 10 mins! Not bad because they were kind in action to replace it/make it right, but also felt a bit hard trying to explain and neither that day or when I went back in never apologized for the inconvenience.

Positive: Huge portions! Negative: To me the food was lacking in flavor, while it was good I felt it was lacking in savory flavor. (Noodles and rice primarily)
We ordered to go and asked for forks. They said of course they could provide those. We didnt think to check before we left. Needless to say we go no forks all, left to eat our food unfortunately with spoons qe could wrangle up at the hotel.

I’d like to know what others think the protocol for tipping when you place to-go orders. I’m sure it would not be equivalent to a tip you’d give to a waitress that has been tending to you while you ate. I over heard them complaining about my cash tip as I left. For that reason alone I’ll make the drive for Chinese food in Redding next time.

I wanted it to be better than it was. It has high ratings, and it is very much a "hole in the wall" place which in my experience for Chinese food can be amazing. I like the options and I think the price is good. You also get a lot of food. Unfortunately I felt like the food didn't have a lot of flavor. I had just got back from a backpacking trip and I would imagine after that I would just think anything tastes incredible, but that wasn't my experience.
I still think if you are looking for some quick Chinese take out where you get a lot of food and have a lot to choose from this is still an excellent place! The people who run it are kind and have good service too.
