Old Sierra City Hotel is very unique, charming, and homey. Nate went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The townsfolk and visitors were all so friendly, everyone with jolly vibes. Great food, great music. Definitely a place to begin a fun adventure! J+C

We had a great time at the Old Sierra City Hotel! Nate and Keeley were awesome hosts and very accommodating to us. Their dogs Stompy, Polar and Crash were sweet and were very nice to our little dog. I would highly recommend staying here.

Sierra City Hotel for my experience we usually beat any of the more overpriced rooms in town depending on what time of the year it is. Then the owner got is hilarious!

Hotel was closed when I got there at 10pm. A sign on the building says the hotel is for sale. Banged on the door and rang the doorbell. Nobody answered. Called the phone. No answer there either. A month later they still have not refunded me. Fake business.

The owner just bought the hotel 1 month ago, so it's a work in progress.

The owner is absolutely willing to do what ever he can so you can enjoy your stay.

He informed my that there are (5) ghosts in the hotel all friendly. Apparently, Frank (ghost) knocked my dogs leashes off the shelf. FYI the shelf is flat.

We stayed 1 night at this hotel during our hike. We was quite impressed by the diner, perfectly executed and very tasty. The chef cooked bolognese pasta with a tasty salade with wathermelon, blue cheese and strawberry. He let us try his Bugatini with an amazing garlic sauce.
Thanks you chef !

Nate, the owner, really came through for me as a Trail Angel. He was going to Reno and offered to exchange my leaking airpad at REI, as well as pick up new boot liners I desperately needed. I can't thank him enough. Leroy, Hansen and the well behaved dogs added to an enjoyable stay. They are working hard as the new owners to revamp the place and meet hikers' needs.

This is an amazing place to stay in a very chill town. The building is beautiful and historic with modern upgrades and it just makes me want to live here! Located right next to post office, general store and restaurant. The owner Rob is extremely favorable towards hikers and lovers of nature, the prices are more than reasonable, and this hotel is the exact center of the good vibes galaxy.

We had a great time staying in Old Sierra Hotel. Rob, the inn keeper, is very welcoming and friendly, we enjoyed chatting with him. Beautiful old bar downstairs with the original interior. Rooms are minimalist but clean and cozy. Perfect location: in a walking distance from the cafe, and right across the street from the general store.
