This restaurant was completely out of the way and expensive for the food and certainly the service we received. A salmon order came with the cod being so fatty it was falling apart like grits, sent it back and the chef said that’s just a fatty piece…. Really? Don’t serve a fatty piece at a high end restaurant maybe and be a little more proper. We had one round of bread and asked for more and the server replied that they were all out of bread. All out of bread in a restaurant with 25 seats? This place is not professional, they are wearing Prada but literally equivalent to cheap homeless service.

A must see place tucked away in Sierra foothills. Great spot to fish and build great memory’s. Upper sardine lake is beautiful and worth the drive (MUST HAVE 4X4) the hike is just as beautiful. They have small boats that you can rent and enjoy a day of fishing.

We have enjoyed dinners up at the lodge for 6 years in a row. unreal location, great service and wonderful drinks. My children always love the kids menu and we haven't had a meal we didn't love.

Great place to camp or reserve a cabin. The views are spectacular and there are plenty of activities, like hiking, fishing and swimming. Go there every year. Some of the family camps and the others stay in cabins.

My wife and I have been going to sardine lake resort for many years. We have dined at the lodge over those years but never stayed in the cabins. The lodge is nestled on lower sardine lake looking straight up at Sierra buttes, one of the most stunning views you can hope to see. This accompanied by exquisite dining makes for an outstanding special; it was our 29th anniversary. The camping at sardine lake campground and others is great and convenient. I highly recommend sardine lake resort .Nearby activities: Swimming, hiking, bike riding, reading a bookSafety: Safe wilderness environment.Food & drinks: Outstanding food and wines

Wow, what a hidden gem! We enjoyed the cocktail bar at 5:30pm. It was busy when we arrived but when people started heading to their dinner reservation we had the place to ourselves. Great drinks, the bartender was generous and so friendly. The views are unbeatable. Definitely a memorable spot!
