Stopped by the Black Bear Diner in Signal Hill and left with a full belly and an even fuller heart. Thelma was an absolute gem — attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming.
The food? Classic comfort done right. Generous portions that satisfy without skimping on flavor. Whether you're craving a stack of fluffy pancakes or a savory skillet, this place delivers the goods — literally and figuratively.
Big thanks to Thelma and her crew for making our visit feel like a warm Sunday morning at grandma’s table. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Upon entering we were greeted & sitted right away. Our server was very attentive. Our server Chase was very fast brought us drinks and our food was exceptional. We were also offered kid sundaes with our kids food very delicious. Over all very good service & the prices are good for a family of five. We will continue to come.

Thelma our server was on top of her game, attentive and checked in us multiple time. The food was amazing. We were there for breakfast and portions were huge.
