Both were great! Grinder was an absolute unit. Could have fed 2 people. Only about $20 for both subs. Surprised this place wasn't busier when I got there. Any time I'm in Long Beach, I'll be back!

It's difficult to find a good vegetarian sandwich. This place figured it out. I ordered the foot-long vegetarian expecting it to be mediocre, but this is one of the better veggie sammich I've had in a while! Highly recommend!

What happened to them? They haven’t been open in almost a month - since late August. I got everything is ok, this is one of the only places left you can get a sandwich for $5! Our employees miss Sub King!

This place defines everything I love about a small business. Not only is it great, quick food, but also even better service and value. I have been going here since I was a young child and who I assume to be the owner has had my order memorized ever since. Plus, they’re a true model of consistency as their sandwiches are always great. One of the true hidden treasures of Long Beach, we love you Sub King!

Feeling sick and was looking for a place for some soup. Came across sub king. Surprised by the pricing of the sandwiches and other items on the menu, I decided to come in. I ordered the soup of the day, chicken noodle, and it was delicious. Also powdered a breakfast burrito. The burrito was $5 and was good, not the best, but good. I recommend this place if you are hungry and don't want to break your bank. Will be back to try their subs.

A delicious breakfast burrito for under $5?! And this is no tiny burrito. Based on the price I almost ordered 2. I have included a picture of my hand next to my burrito for comparison. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. This is a small, Asian-owned business that definitely deserves to be supported.

Wonderful friendly shop with lots of options. Had a turkey, avocado and bacon and it was perfectly balanced. Way fresher than the big chain. Lots of meat and perfectly crunchy bacon in some of the creamiest of avocado. Veggies were not overpowering and the bread was fresh and quite tasty. Highly recommended for those who have the privilege of being able to make it when they're open. 7 am to 3 pm Monday to Fri is a hard time frame for the working class to make it in...
I have been back to this location multiple times. My favorites are the Reuben and Philly Cheese Steak. Prices are very competitive for the portions.

I've been a loyal customer eating here a couple of times a week for the last few years. Today, I ordered one of my favorites, Philly cheese steak, no mushrooms, add lettuce and tomato...I noticed he added an extra $1. This is new, so I asked, "What's the buck for?""Lettuce" he saysSo, a few shreds of lettuce costs more than mushrooms? Sorry, I'm not paying over $11 for an 8" sandwich. You just lost a customer.There's a lot of good local sandwich shops in LB, I won't be back to this one.

Great little place. Outside looks in assuming but this is such a great sandwich shop. All the cold sandwich they make are fresh and made to order. Subway is dead to me. This is the sandwich you want.
