Service or the lack of was the low light of the evening. Once we were seated, it took forever for our server to greet us. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer and had to beg for water. It took at least 15 minutes for the cocktails to come out, which we then ordered our food from a limited selection . The food came out sporadically and our appetizer never made it out. Sorry to say, but won’t be back to such an out of the way location.

The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was super friendly . We shared the ceviche, queso fundido, cesar salad, the lamb birria and the pollo ahumado and we devoured everything. I totally recommend!

I went a few days ago and got the Chicken and Yucca puree. It's amazing!

Food was pretty good, not the best but decent for the surrounding area.
Service was extremely slow. We waited 15 mins to get seated, or even acknowledged by the staff when the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full.
Unfortunately, that seemed to be the trend the rest of the night.
Food dishes were being executed poorly, our main dishes came out long before our appetizers.
Our dinner took over 2 hrs to complete due to slow service, and we came long before any dinner rush at 6pm, again, when the restaurant was pretty empty.

Casual atmosphere with an incredible kitchen. Quiet and unassuming, Silverado Canyon is a savvy compliment to my duck with mole. It was delicious! It’s not your typical Mexican taste… flavors here are Mexican with a definite upbeat. The mole was a rich texture with a smooth jalapeño flavor. The duck was cooked peefectly. My
Husband ordered the Caesar salad and enchiladas.. both were unique flavors, great concepts in preparation… we will be back for
More. Great!

First time people please read. They need to be better about explaining this place. There is one chef making the food, so it will be a little longer than normal wait time, and dishes will be served at separate times. There are not many waiters and they are moving between 2 rooms so getting their attention will be a little hard. Lastly, the food is what the food is. There are no modifications to the food, so if you are going to try it, my advise is read the menu prior. Saying this, the food is amazing! Changes to the food is almost a disrespect to the chef and your taste buds will thank you. I, like many, was frustrated at first, but after was very pleased. Will be returning to try the rest of the menu.

Delicious. More pricey & more attractive than Silverado Cafe for bringing out of town guests after Mass at the beautiful St Michael's Abbey. Their modus operandi seems to be under promise & over deliver though, so don't be too put off if they say they can't accommodate many changes. I can't eat spicy foods, & I asked for it to be milder or if I could have milk to soothe the spice if needed, & the food didn't come out too spicy, just a bit for flavor.
Horrible owners who have no class!!!! Horrible food.Spraying a bride with water during her ceremony. You are a poor excuse for a human. I hope people see this review and know not to give business to such awful people. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I recently had my wedding at the Silverado Market & Kitchen, right next door to Xacalli.
During our 30-minute ceremony, the owner of Xacalli decided to start watering her plants directly against the fence where my husband and I were standing, exchanging our vows. I don’t mind someone watering plants, but she began spraying over the fence, getting both of us wet. At first, we thought it was a mistake, so we kindly mentioned we were in the middle of our ceremony and asked for just five more minutes to finish. Her response was shockingly hostile; she told us this was her property and she could water her plants whenever she wanted.
Again, I have no issue with watering plants, but plants are usually rooted in the ground, not hovering above people’s heads. It quickly became clear that the owner was intentionally trying to disrupt our special moment.
I can't understand why anyone would go out of their way to do this, especially to people who have never wronged them.
Even after our ceremony ended, she continued to harass my guests, berating them as they left. I have never encountered such hostility and rudeness, especially on what should have been one of the happiest days of my life. Though she tried to ruin it, all she did was reveal her true character to everyone there.
I want everyone on this platform to know that the person who runs this establishment is neither kind nor hospitable. Please be aware of who you’re supporting when you choose to visit Xicalli.
As for Silverado Market & Kitchen, I have been a loyal customer since they opened. They are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, providing us with an incredible venue for our wedding and a loving, supportive staff. Despite someone’s attempts to disrupt the day, they helped make my dream wedding come true.

Food is not bad. One of the staff is rude and went out of her way to make a scene with a wedding -- spraying a hose at the bride and groom --- at the place next store. Freaky and kind of scary. I expected tacos and guac. I got a nut. no thanks.
Outstanding on every level! The service was fantastic and the food was flawless. Amazingly flavorful. This restaurant is doing everything right; it was a delight to dine here and we cannot wait to return. What a hidden gem!
Whereas the brunch we had a few weeks ago was fantastic, we were disappointed in the dinner. It took 35 minutes for our drinks to be delivered and the food was pricey for small portions (even the large plates) and took a long time to come. One small plate never came and they brought it after the other food and it was undercooked. (Tiger prawn shrimp). The second round of drinks also took forever and was delivered after our meal was finished.
Incredible food. Can not stop raving about it. Michelin star deserved. Service was also top notch. Excellent vibes. The cocktails were very good too.

Located in Silverado Canyon, this cozy hideaway is perfect for date night! Food was off the charts delicious! Should be considered for a Michelin star (I've eaten at worse tasting Michelin starred restaurants). Service was attentive. Ambiance was romantic in the bar area, especially at sunset in the summer. Overall, fantastic experience! I'd definitely go again.
