Xacalli Kitchen

Highly recommended! This was our first time at Xacalli Kitchen and it was fantastic! Each item— the pork chop, the sweet potatoes, the enchiladas, even the Caesar—was unique and delicious. We were there on a quiet weeknight but even at busier times I suspect the atmosphere would be relaxing. I now look forward to coming back to this beautiful area in the daylight!

We will need to go back for dinner. Brunch was lovely. The food, service and ambience were all excellent. Cocktails were also great! Will try dinner and bring more people so we can order more.

What an incredible find! The food here is truly original and absolutely delicious — every dish bursts with creativity and flavor. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed, making it a perfect spot for everything from a casual dinner to a special night out. Vegetarians will be thrilled with the number of thoughtful options on the menu, and many dishes can easily be modified for vegans — a refreshing change in the OC dining scene. It's rare to find a place that cares this much about quality, originality, and atmosphere all at once. Please support this local treasure! It's the kind of restaurant we want to see thrive!

I love the menu, I celebrate my family birthdays there; for me this menu deserves Michelin stars!

$17 cocktails was a bit high for just a standard drink. $200 for three a bit pricy. Cheesecake we thought was lwhat the heck is this. Soo small.... And one bite per person. Quality and taste of the food overall was good. Just would be better around $40 cheaper.

Been there a bunch. Love it. Really excellent elevated Mexican food. Out of the way but worth the drive. Good mixed drinks. Have had most of the menu and it's all great!

The food and drinks were great. The wait time for food was slow. Not all the food came out at the same time.

Unfortunately, the food was cold and did not arrive accordingly. The place in and out was beautiful. Until the restaurant considers the complaints of its prior customers and changes their ways it is a no return place for us.

The place had potential, the service was like none of them knew hat they where doing, we had reservations and arrive right on time, still did not get seated for 30 mins, the restaurant was mostly empty, maybe 5 tables the entire night. Then when we finally got seated it took a hour to get just a drink, so when we finally got food it was 2 hours after being seated, we ask several times for AC to be turned down and was told we should of brought a jacket. Also the Maniger told me I was not dressed warm enough,

You have to try this place. One of my all time favorite OC Restaurants and I have lived here for 30+ years.

My husband and I have been looking forward to trying this restaurant for quite some time, and we were excited to finally make a reservation at this charming location. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home right away. However, we did find the menu a bit challenging to navigate since we're not used to dishes like these. We asked several questions, but some of the dishes surprised us in their presentation. I ordered the chicken, which was delicious, and I loved the corn salad with its spicy jalapeños. We also ordered the filet mignon appetizer, and after discussing it with our waiter, we learned it would be served more like a pâté rather than slices of steak. While we enjoyed it, I did have some discomfort afterward, which I suspect might be related to that dish. My husband ordered the cow cheek, expecting a slab of beef, but it arrived as a small bowl of stew topped with fresh greens. He initially mistook it for my salad! Although he took a few bites, it wasn't what he had anticipated. The staff kindly offered to bring him something else, but by then, we were ready to head out. On a positive note, the cocktails were fantastic, both in taste and presentation. While we appreciate the effort and hospitality, we may not return, as the dishes didn't quite meet our expectations.

This is definitely worth the drive. Food and service were great. And Bloodys to start before brunch were fantastic.
