Note: I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of our food. Take that as a sign...it was good. We got there early, so the restaurant was just starting to get busy for breakfast. The smells of the kitchen really hit the appetite. Very small dining area, but warm and cozy. Decor was classically Mexicano. The menu was classic. They do have adult beverages if you are dining a little later in the day, but for me - I decided on a Mexican coke to go with my meal. I had the Chorizzo con Juevo plate and my wife had the Machaca plate. Both meals were delicious and filling. The beef in the Machaca was well seasoned. The refried beans were not your canned refried beans, or at least they did not taste like it. Maybe I was that hungry. The surprise was the salsa. Homemade and delicious. They must have a lot of people asking for it as they do sell it to go. If your on your way up to Arrowhead or Big bear, this little gem is right on the highway where you decide to go left to Arrowhead or straight to Big Bear. If you're hungry it is worth the stop. The best fajitas in all the land! Huge portion on the combo fajita plate. After eating at Rosalvas, no other fajitas can live up to the ones served here. The steak is perfect while the chicken is moist and flavorful. The shrimp is also delicious. The owner, Chon, is very charming. Sitting out side on their patio in the summer is one of my favorite things.

Delicious shrimp fajitas cooked perfectly. We had a takeout order including sopapillas and the kitchen waited until we arrived to make them so everything was hot and fresh. Very nice touch.

Sooooo yummy! We just had the most delicious lunch here. Chili verde was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat and the chicken taquitos were really tasty. Server was super nice and friendly. Highly recommend! We'll be back!

I never do reviews but this business goes above and beyond. Hands down best food on the mountain and great customer service. My family and I having been going here since they opened and appreciate the consistent quality they provide. Places like this are really rare to find these days.

My family came up to Lake Arrowhead for a weekend getaway and had our dog with us. The customer service at Rosalva's was very good and the food was very fresh, tasty and authentic! Definitely recommend to all.

In the mood for real deal authentic Mexican food? Then this has to be your spot! The chicken enchiladas were delicious, and they have a spicy salsa upon request. Huge margaritas but make sure you try the spicy jalepeno margaritas. Tacos were also great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Great little spot! We stopped here after a fantastic (but long) day at Santa's Village just up the street, and it was just what the day needed. Mom and Dad shared a tasty Cadillac Margarita and a killer Molcajete with the entire kitchen sink in it, and the kids got some quesadillas and tacos that they had been craving all day. The chips and salsa were also really tasty. The service was super friendly and accommodating for our bigger group of 6.Versus having to wait to get back down the mountain to grab a bite on the way back home to San Diego, this was a great alternative. Would definitely do it again.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid-friendly options and meals.

I purchased the carne asada fries. They were delicious! I was greeted upon entering the restaurant. The employees were all very kind. They all smiles and had small talk with the customers. The restaurant was very clean and there are plenty of tables to dine in. I would highly recommend!

Honestly, this place was overrated. We ordered two different margaritas and both of them had tasted watered down. It wasn’t great. We didn’t want to ask for a re-do because one of the margaritas tasted somewhat moldy. Didn’t trust it. The chips were fresh and warm, which was nice. We ordered an enchilada and carne asada combo and the enchilada was not the greatest. It was way too watered down. The rice and beans that came with the carne asada was amazing. That was close to authenticity. Other than that, parking was difficult. Not many parking spots.
