Mellowood Vineyard offers amazing wines and a very relaxed setting. Visitors can enjoy award-winning wines like the Double Gold Zin and Syrah, and the surprisingly good Mourvedre, all while sitting in an old barn/garage. The owners are always there to welcome guests personally, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Kenyan-style pilau rice and spicy chicken wings are popular, so arriving early is advisable. The winery is known for its white glove customer service, making every visit special. The beautiful scenery and casual environment make it a perfect place to spend the day. Mellowood Vineyard is truly a hidden gem, often featuring Kenyan barbecue and live music. It is off the beaten path but well worth the detour.
The owners, KK and Mariam, are some of the nicest people, warm and down-to-earth, passionate about what they do. The wines are exceptional, and the Rafiki red wine is a standout. The winery also offers space for private gatherings and hosts concerts, making it the perfect spot for special occasions or a relaxing day out.
