We had the best time at Mellowood vineyard. We sat and talked with the owners for over 4 hours. They were so kind and fun. They shared vacation photos and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The wine was wonderful we ended up purchasing a variety pack. Our day ended with photos together wonderful wine and new friends. Rumor has it they do a mean BBQ. We definitely will be back.

An absolute hidden gem of a place! The owners, KK and Mariam, are some of the nicest people I have met! We stayed at their lovely guesthouse for two nights and had such a great time with them! The wines are exceptional and pair well with a lot of different foods! This is our favorite place in Amador and cannot wait to return!

Mellowood Winery is a beautiful, Kenyan-owned gem nestled in the heart of wine country. All of their wines are exceptional, but Rafiki truly stole my heart â and thatâs coming from someone who usually doesnât even like red wine! Itâs smooth, rich, and unforgettable.
The owners, KK and Mariam, are absolutely amazing â warm, down-to-earth, and passionate about what they do. The winery also offers space for private gatherings and hosts concerts, making it the perfect spot for special occasions or a relaxing day out.

Very good vibes and wines at Mellowood! Had a good time sampling their wines, the Double Gold awarded Zin and Syrah, and their Mourvedre that is surprisingly good as well. Arrive early before the Kenyan style pilau rice and spicy chicken wings disappear! Very relaxed setting and friendly hosts invite one to spend the day. Happiness is drinking with friends!
