This place is amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. 10 out of 10!!

Good food, great deal, dated atmosphere.
This location was a little beat up compared to the other one. Booths were wonky and ripped, and our table was kinda sticky, with really old low-pile carpeting. You know the vibe.
Lunch specials still a great deal, although my enchilada was a little skimpy this time. Chile verde had decent flavor as always, but one piece was like tree bark. Probably scraped the last dry chunk off the back of the pan for this one. If the filling hadn't been slim this wouldn't be a problem, but with only a small amount of meat it definitely stood out.
No beer on tap but the bottles were cold. Our server was quick and kind.

Ordered the Chile Verde Burrito. The burrito consisted of rice, pork, and very little beans. The sauce was a bit lacking, perhaps premade. You are only allowed one free basket of chips and salsa, and that’s what they gave us for 2 people. However, the entree portion was generous and the service was great. Good location off of Mono and nice seating area.

The rice was fresh tender moist and delicious. The beans were smooth and flavorful and the green sauce on my chile rellenos had a spicy bite. This was the most delicious meal I have had in all my 30 years living in the Motherlode, the east bay of California and SW Florida. The coffee was served in an authentic clay Mexican decorative cup and was rich but required 2 packets of raw brown sugar (sugar in the raw) and became the perfect dessert to a healthy satisfying meal.

I picked up a pair of burritos for both my mother and I this week and was surprised to learn that each burrito (supreme with guacamole and sour cream) totaled over $18. With two drinks adding another six dollars more it total nearly $50 for two burritos and two sodas. Of course the girl giving me my order expected additional so I tipped an extra three dollars had a feeling obligated. Cost alone for a pair of burritos and drinks would be more than almost anyone else stomach, and being from the city. I’m not totally surprised by the cost, but when you figure out the quality of this food, absolutely disappoints.

Get surprised by the shrimp cocktail. But only order more food, if really hungry. It's enough for a very satisfying meal. We prefer this restaurant over their other Sonora and Groveland restaurants.

Really good Mexican food served here quite authentic old school style. If you want a good old-fashioned Mexican plate this is the place in Sonora to go for
