Staying at the attached hotel over this weekend, I decided that for today I’d do breakfast and lunch at this My Garden Café. I walked in just before 8am and was met by the smell of fresh coffee, maple syrup and pancakes. Johnny warmly greeted me and said I could sit wherever I’d like. I ordered coffee and the French toast supreme. The coffee was substantive and not watered down. Bacon was thick cut and cooked to crispness but not over. Eggs scrambled and not overcooked. Adding to this, the overall ambiance is just welcoming and hospitable, no overwhelming corporate veneer/signage, you feel like the diner is run by human beings that want you to feel comfortable while you’re there.
For lunch, I ordered fish and chips, 3 big fish tenders and a bed of fries. With all the fixings, lemon, malt vinegar, tartar sauce. Portion was enough to split with another person, easy. 10/10 would order again.
If you happen to be in the area or staying at the hotel next to it like me, you gotta give this place a shot.

So glad I woke up late at the hotel and missed breakfast. Went across the road to this little gem. Immediate seating with a smile. The Florentine Omelette as well as the Garden Omelette are excellent. Portions are generous! I recommend the hashbrowns instead of home fries.

My son and I eat here at the Sonora restaurant about 4 times or more a week and have been for a few years. Great menu, food is very good. The staff makes you feel very welcome. They are very friendly even the grumpy cook, and you feel like family. Jessica and my special needs son have become great friends, They all make him feel special. And he has fun with them. There are the regulars, and they all know each other. If you are looking for that special little local dinner this is the place.

Cozy diner with great service and delicious food! Will definitely be coming back when in Sonora! My meal (the hash-browns with gravy) was only $15!
Parking: Parking can be a bit hard when they’re busy as it’s a small lot that’s shared with 2 other businesses, but not impossible!
My son and I have been going here 2-3 times a week for over a year. Never had a problem with the food or service. The staff has always been caring and my son who is special needs is treated like a king by everyone. They all make a point to talk with him and do fist bump. The food is good, never had anything that wasn’t. I recommend My Garden Cafe to anyone who wants a good meal and great service.

We're staying at the nearby motel and decided to give this little diner a try. The staff was friendly and welcoming full of smiles. The food plates are a nice size portion and tasted good. We were overall satisfied with the food and employers.
