The best sourdough in California ngl.

Their sourdough bread has a crispy hard crust and a moist soft inside.

I do not recommend refrigeration unless afterward you get the oven to help toast it after some refrigeration.

This place makes the best sourdough bread! Have not come across a flavor that disappoints! The olive is a must try when they have it. Bacon Gouda is another that makes my mouth water just writing about it. Jim and Sunny are so friendly and nice in the shop and at the local farmers markets. I recently opened my horizons to a few of their “sweet” flavored loaves. I was skeptical on sweet flavors. However I am now a believer as they are amazing!

Amazing sourdough bread! We've had their bread a few times and it's always great. One of their offerings I tried recently was their ham on sourdough with a bit of cream cheese and it was simple but so delicious. The staff is also very friendly.

Yes!!
I love watching small family owned businesses grow!
They went from home sales and farmers markets and now to a store front. I am so happy for them!
They deserve it, and we like having more access to their products.
I will miss the homemade honey, but so glad to see the sourdough side of the business expand.
Fresh bread daily and made and served with love. Today, we scored some cinnamon roll style foccassia bread that was absolutely delightful!
You can see the pride and dedication through the service, the quality, and the cleanliness.

I came in and immediately was welcomed. You see they make it all fresh right in house. I got the sweet focaccia and a bacon swiss sourdough. Both were absolutely delicious. I cant wait to start coming regularly. This is so beyond amazing. Yes it’s more pricier, but the quality? You cannot compare that to anything else. By far my favorite local place.

Lovely and quaint sourdough bakery with friendly staff! I was ecstatic to try them out: they’re three blocks from my house and I love a fresh baked sourdough. Friendly staff and customers. Nicely arranged shop - you can grab their daily specials right off the bread rack on the side.I’ve bought most of my bakery goods from the farmer’s market since moving here but that’s only during the summer and only on Saturdays, so being able to grab fresh bread any morning, right downtown, is terrific.I immediately sliced off some of the Jalapeño Cheddar when I got home. Buttered and toasted it - such soft delicious bread!Welcome to the neighborhood, Pence Farm!

Love Love Love Pence Farm Sourgough! So happy that Jim & Sunny Pence decided to Open this business on Washington Street in Sonora! They are such friendly, great people, and their sourdough bread is AMAZING! The menu changes daily, but the bread is always so good a few favorites, jalapeño and cheese loaf, the ham and mozzarella cheese loaf, the blueberry lemon loaf , just to name a few! The cinnamon roll is amazing. it’s a large slice of focaccia and it is so good. I’ve also had the pesto and cheese one the cheese and onion and they are also so tasty, and fresh! I can’t say enough about it you’re just gonna have to go down and try it yourself. They do orders before the holidays but you’re going to have to order at least a month before the holidays to get it in time. They do great holiday loaves with pecan, orange zest, and cranberry, and others. They open up at 7 AM, but they close as soon as everything is gone.

Parking: I always find parking on the street pretty easily

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs so wheelchair friendly

Had my first loaf of traditional sourdough from Pence Farm Sourdough today. As a hopelessly addicted sourdough fan I can say it's the best I've had in town. Perfect crust, wonderful flavor. They're my new bread pusher of choice.
