We were a group of 8 that arrived early. Thankfully, we were seated in the bar area where we had cocktails and then sat at a nice, somewhat secluded table for dinner. The crab cakes appetizer was fabulous, the bread with oil & vinegar was great, along with our meals. Thank you so much for the friendly atmosphere. The only downside was the parking as we had to park across the street as there were other other private business signs. We will visit again. (Someone responded by saying this comment violates the rules? I left the restaurant 5 🌟 🤩 stars. The parking is a legitimate complaint.) Is someone just being stinky?
The food was excellent. Everything and I mean everything I tasted was excellent. The staff was nice, and stayed on top of everything. They also have patio seating with heaters.
The staff was great and the atmosphere was very pleasing. I ordered the steak in linguine . Unfortunately the pasta was too salty. I will definitely go again and try something else.
Lovely lunch on the patio with friends 😊
The food is delicious! Service is excellent!
This was a beautiful restaurant with prompt service. Parking was hard but luckily we took an Uber, but plan ahead. We had reservations and only had to wait around 8 min and staff were communicating with each other and us well. Our waitress was less engaging than those at the front but I imagine she was busier. The artichokes were delish, the salad acceptable. The filet was cooked to perfection, but the veggies were under done. Great IPA. Found something WILD looking in our cream brulee and the staff whisked it away. The manager came out shortly after to explain it was a vanilla bean but he understood why we were concerned. He comped the drinks, app, and dessert. So above & beyond. Recommend!
The patio feels like you're a long way from 41st Ave
My wife and I had dinner at Cafe Cruz on 6/20/2025. We've dined at Cafe Cruz on several occasions over the years, and we have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This time was no exception. Drinks were excellent and the service very attentive and timely. Our food was quite good although the sea bass wasn't quite as good as we're used to experiencing at Cafe Cruz. Still good, just not as stellar as we've experienced previously. Overall, a great place for dinner and remains a "go to" spot for a nice dinner out.
Affordable good quality food and good beer
Amazing food and service. It being busy and Father's Day did not recline the quality service we received.

We always stop at Cafe Cruz when we we come to Aptos. Great Food, Great Wine and Great seasonal meals.
Wonderful dinner! Love this restaurant! Reservations went smoothly & we even were given a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our Anniversary!! Wow! Only downside was it was pretty noisy & fast paced, a bit hard to relax.
We have always loved Cafe Cruz as our go to, not so much this time. My fish, sea bass, was very over cooked, more like over cooked chicken breast Husbands pappardelle with bolognese served with foccacia tasted like fish and very charred black. Friend's dinners, no seasoning on the veggies and undercooked and hard. Wasn't eaten. The brussel sprouts were liked by everyone. Our server was very curt and snippy to us at every request, borderline rude. This was a special birthday dinner for our friends. It was our recommendation to come here and we were disappointed. They did serve an ice cream birthday dessert to the birthday man which was a plus.
Everything was excellent! The only thing I wish is that there was a way to get more shade for the entire table on the patio.
The ambiance, food, and service were all exceptional! Lot's of menu options for a group With a wide range of ages and food preferences. The server kept the experiences moving without making us feel rushed.
