This was our first visit, and we found the food to be excellent. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. The house-made chips were delicious, and the pico de gallo was fantastic, as shown in the picture LoL! Overall, it's a great place to eat in the quiet town of Soquel. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent food, friendly staff. Warm atmosphere. Highly recommend.
My favorite place to get a big burrito around Santa Cruz. Get the super burrito with green sauce.

WATCH YOUR CHANGE!!! They think it's ok to not give you back all your change. It's happened to me several times & then when you ask for all your change back, they give you stinkeye.

First time coming here based on all the reviews, and my fiancé and I weren't disappointed. We come into Capitola every few months from the East Bay and are always looking for new food. It's a little dive place but the food is on point! It was busy for a Tuesday night at almost 8pm- lots of takeout orders and almost all tables full with patrons. The two servers were working overtime and both checked in with a minor hiccup in the order. Super nice people. The chips were really good and we shared the flautas plate and barely could finish. We'll definitely come back. With a bit of an extra tip because they were great, out the door full for $25.

This place is authentic food. We come here every time we are in the santa cruz Soquel area. The dining area is a little small but it is well worth it.I had the Nopales (cactus)plate and it was amazing paired with the refried beans with cheese on top definitely recommend.

I am rating 5 stars for the food but the atmosphere is definitely nothing special. I had a huarache because it came with cactus and I wanted to try that. It was a lot of food, covered with lots of delicious sauce. The carnitas meat was delicious with some pieces fried crispy. The menu had many more interesting choices than other Mexican restaurants I've been to. We will definitely be going back!

As a vegan I feel like I quenched a long time thirst for authentic Mexican food. I ordered the summer burrito and it tasted delicious, I’d recommend this spot for other vegans who are in a family/group that still eat meat/fish/etc

I like Mexican food and have not found many restaurants in the Santa Cruz area that I would recommend but I will recommend El Chipotle. The food is well prepared and tastes great. It is authentic with good flavor and fresh ingredients, while the price is reasonable.
