We come to this area every year, and just discovered this restaurant last year. We learned that the last owners had retired, but decided to try again with the new ownership. The food and portions for the reasonable cost definitely did not disappoint! And the people there were so attentive to detail, and friendly, making sure our large order was correct before we left and very hospitable. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!
Usually I never ever make google reviews (EVER). I’ve never actually been here, but when I TELL YOU combo plate #F IS SOO GOOD I’m not joking. The meat is so tender is don’t even know how like they do that (magic???). As a college student I was homesick for good Chinese cuisine because I usually ate it with my family. This REALLY hit the spot for me. Literally try it it’s so so good!!!!
Golden Fu has officially become one of my top favorite spots for Chinese food. It’s a Chinese and Japanese style restaurant, and depending on what you’re in the mood for, they’ll prepare it accordingly. Just let them know what you're ordering and they’ll take care of it.
The interior is really nice, clean, inviting, and spacious. They have a full sushi bar and a mix of both Chinese and Japanese style seating, which adds a cool vibe to the place. We went with the Chinese side of the menu and ordered chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, orange chicken, and sweet and sour pork. The food did not disappoint.
The orange chicken and sweet and sour pork were super fresh and had that perfect crispy texture on the outside, with none of that chewy or soggy bite you sometimes get elsewhere. The sauces were flavorful without being overly sweet or heavy.
The chicken chow mein was loaded with tender chicken, crunchy veggies, and perfectly cooked noodles that weren’t greasy at all. The flavor was balanced and savory, not too salty or bland. The pork fried rice was probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The rice was fluffy and full of flavor, with just the right amount of pork and egg mixed in. You could taste the wok style cooking in every bite.
The staff was also amazing. I ended up ordering some extra food to go and they were super quick and friendly about it. You can tell they care about good service and quality food.
Overall, it was a great experience. Great food, great service, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to again soon.
Very nice nigiri, and the California roll is excellent (not as heavy as many other restaurants make it)
I ordered a variety of items from Golden Fu Wah, and while the portion sizes were quite genera, unfortunately this place didn't quite hit for me. Nothing tasted quite right – either too bland, or one ingredient in each dish that didn’t taste right. For example, the roll was a bit mushy, as was the pork bun. I'm not sure I'd return, but it mostly scratched the itch as a whole.
Great service and very friendly people. Huge portions of good food at a reasonable price.
Sizzling rice soup was the best I have had. Lots of fresh veggies, chicken and shrimp

Amazing food! ❤️ cozy atmosphere and the lady that helped us was such a sweetheart. This is will be our go-to place now in Soquel ❤️🫂
I told the waitress that I was finished and she said I wasn't. She was right. I ate more and was glad I did. It was the best Chinese food I've ever had.

Great food and service. The vegetarian fried rice and noodles tasted really good.

Excellent food. Suggested order: Cumin Beef! (In case your don't read rest of the text, Just go there and order "Cumin Beef"). We visit this place frequently -really glad that we have a nice Chinese food place here. Many of their dishes that I tried so far had been great. Service is attentive.
Another items that I highly recommend is Chicken Eggplant and Chinese Black Bean Fish.
You may have had enough of the usual dishes like: Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef.... You can still get those. But, be a little adventurous, get Cumin Beef and I hope you will become a fan.
The ambiance is nostalgic.

The Szechuan Chicken is absolutely fantastic! Perfectly crispy outside, tender juicy inside. The flavor is incredible. Might be my new favorite dish in town.
Our order was so thoughtfully packed. Everything arrived hot and crispy (sweet and sour pork separate from sweet and sour sauce). The sweet and sour was wrapped and rubber banded for spill prevention.
I'll be going here from now on ???
