The extra hot sauce was 🔥 honestly some of the best chilaquiles! Service was great! A new must go, when nearby for me!

I feel bad about this review, but I don’t believe the other reviews are honest. I think the 5 star reviews have to be from friends or family or something because they just don’t add up to how the place actually is. This was actually one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We came in with 4 people and we were the only people there the entire time and it was a friday night. And when I say only, I mean there wasnt a single other table. The server working was terrible at her job and was constantly forgetting things. She seemed to have no clue what was going on. She wrote down our order, disappeared and then came back 10 minutes later to ask us to confirm what we wanted to order. We’re a friendly and open group of people, but the conversation she was trying to make with our table throughout our visit was uncomfortable and has us constantly wondering what was going on. She would forget our drinks, forget items we’d ask for, forget to fill our water. Our food took longer than expected considering we were the only people in there and it was quite honestly the most bland Mexican food I’ve had in all of Santa Cruz county. I truly truly gave this place a chance but after sitting on my feelings about it for a few weeks, I felt it was only fair to write a warning to other people. I believe this business needs to revisit their staff, how their staff are trained and work with the kitchen staff on making their food taste a lot better. I also think they’re doing too much. The menu is massive. There’s no need to offer that much. You don’t need multiple pages of traditional American breakfast items, burgers and Mexican food. And I saw a sign they were hosting a pizza/music night. Scale it back, stick with the basics and perfect what you offer.

The new place seems nice enough. I ordered a green chilaquiles for take out and it was quite expensive at around $20 with no extras. The portions were quite small for the price in my opinion.

Hi everyone I highly recommend this place this the best Mexican food I have ever had in Santa Cruz honestly the best I've had ever anywhere! and the best part is that everything is so fresh they make your food fresh nothing is frozen there . This is the only place that I go for Mexican food and me and my family go there quite often it tastes amazing every time ! And even better the employees are awesome super nice . In the outside sitting area is so nice they have an apple tree and their own orange tree and limes !! It's beautiful.

Delicious food! Everything tasted very fresh. Service was excellent, food came out quickly too!

I ordered a wet super burrito with chicken and a green sauce. It wasn't too spicy, but had a very fresh flavor.

When you walk in the Place, it smells really good..like birria. I got a breakfast burrito and it cost almost $17. Honestly, I didn’t like that, I was mostly only able to taste the potato, And I could barely taste the chorizo especially for $17. A potato cost like $1.50. It didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t satisfying at all.

I had the opportunity to eat here after a long ride from Oregon. Ask for the chilaquiles, those are great

It’s a really good place and I had the opportunity to chat with the owner who is a great person.

Vegan and vegetarian types: i confirmed their rice and beans are both vegan. Get the vegan wet burrito with their mild but delicious homemade hot sauce. If you want more heat add the garlic Tabasco.

i found the ambience about average for a so called traditional authentic place. no frills.

service was fast and was able to confirm plant-based burrito possibilities

if you pay cash its cheaper too!
