Nice property. Decent wines. Good prices. Great service.
Tasting is $10 for 5 wines. They make a nice variety of wines, but more pinot noir and red heavy with some Italian styles. Wines are all very fragrant, but taste was ok. Only 1 standout wine. They waive the tasting fee for every 2 bottle purchase, but their flexible. Bottles are mostly $30-50
Stephanie was awesome. Very knowledgeable, friendly, passionate about the wines. Not very busy on a Saturday. Outdoor seating only. A bit strange that there was only 1 low table with chairs. Rest were all high top standing tables so be prepared to stand or sit in the sun on the side areas. Open seating. You go up to the bar area to get your own wines and taste at your own pace. Only 1 restroom. Self serve water provided. No food allowed (not sure why, they don't sell food)
Beautiful view but service was poor, no food not even breadsticks were even allowed. They had only tank water you can pour in cup for those who didn’t drink. I won’t be coming back to soquel vineyards. We went to Bargeto afterwards, the service was very impressive, they came to our table to pour wine for tasting & they were friendly and they looked like they really enjoy being there. You could buy jams, chocolates & they had breadsticks. I highly recommend Bargeto
A beautiful vineyard with great views, enjoyable wine, and engaged, informative staff. Many thanks to Stephanie for such a wonderful visit!
Always a great experience at our favorite local vineyard. Paul and the staff make the experience so pleasant. (Hope to see Peter back again soon)
Love their wines, beautiful tasting room, open weekends.
Love Soquel Vineyards! Wine club member for 3 years+
Just opened your 2013 pinot noir parnter's reserve. I have been holding this since 2016 when it was 1st released. Totally worth the wait.
Great wine rivaling any Napa wines and just great people! Soquel Winery is a real Santa Cruz treasure and worth visiting when you are in town.
Amazing vineyard. Highly recommend!
We had a discouraging visit this weekend. The winemaker not only treated my family as if they were too young to be there, (which there were not), they also received sexist remarks. With all of wineries available for us to choose from, we were sorry to have chosen this place.

It was a perfect sunny day overlooking the bay, enjoying wine-tasting and pizza, the company of friends, and buying futures after barrel tasting.
TDLR: Beautiful Ocean View vineyard with a peaceful setting, great wines, staff that treats you like family, and the freedom to drink, walk, and mingle as you please. Highly recommended for couples looking for something a bit more romantic or families looking for some good wine and conversation. Read more below:Serene and beautiful vineyard located in the hills above Capitola with view of Monterey Bay and the expanse of beautiful ranches and properties in the surrounding areas. Highly recommended wine tasting experience if you appreciate views, wonderful customer service, serenity, the sounds of nature, and above all, good wine. Special recognition here for the personalized service and affordable prices of the wine tasting experience. We came here looking for an alternative to Napa Valley which is constantly booked and overpriced. We actually found a place that rewarded us with beautiful views of the ocean, and a friendly Northern California vibe that suits more local frequented establishments.
Salt of the earth people here:)
Lovely picturesque winery! I made a reservation several days prior for my group of fifteen on the phone with Jeannette. She was helpful, offering advice on parking beforehand and despite being a bit evidently daunted by my large group of friends descending on the winery. When we arrived Saturday, Kimberly was able to help us get situated and was unperturbed with our two other last minute additions that put us up to seventeen people. She clearly explained the two tastings offered (a variety and a red option) and my group was able to easily divide and move to whichever tasting they preferred before bringing their glasses back to the main table we were congregating around. In the separate patio where they were serving the red flight, we met Greg who was manning the tastings, and he was very amiable and a great deal of fun to chat with about the wines. Peter also came around and introduced himself to us and was very much an excellent host. (Thank you for stepping aside to help us take a group photo!) The winery itself was stunning, and while I cannot speak for the variety flight having chosen the red, the red wine was very much a delight. There was also a wine club event going on that day so fresh pizza was being served and it was delicious! I know at least one person in my group pulled the employee making pizzas aside to ask how they were making the excellent dessert pizza they were serving. There were some excellent wines showcased and my group was very much pleased with the wines’ flavor, the location, the ambiance, and the genial staff. I would absolutely recommend visiting Soquel Vineyards. Thank you for hosting us!
My partner and I had a lovely afternoon wine tasting. The setting is very nice with tables next to the vineyard, the Santa Cruz mountains surrounding the property. The sun was in and out, and the tasting experience was very nice. Julia was very knowledgeable with the pouring of the wines. We spoke briefly with both owners who were very approchable. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the wines so we did not purchase any. I am sure others would find the wines to their taste.
