Chinese Gate in Southgate is incredible! I've been loving this authentic Chinese spot since I was a kid. Their dishes are consistently delicious and bring back so many great memories. It's a true neighborhood gem!

I have been coming here with my parents for decades. It's been super good. Just today, I went in, but the food was a bit plain, not like before. Even though they open at 10am just wait until 11 am since around that time there putting out the food in the counter.

It's good again a while back they were making the food pretty nasty idk if they got there old chef back or changed back to there old ingredients but worth going again back to there good old taste and plates fully packed can't even close it 🤤🤤🤤

Food is really delicious and I won't deny that. My personal favorite is the chow mein and orange chicken. Everything is great except one thing. The employee that attended my family and I was a little rude and not usual great customer service I usually receive here. I don't know is she's new or came in a bad mood today but I didn't feel as comfortable as I usually do when I come by to eat something.

I used to love this place, pepper chicken was my favorite, bur today it was horrible. Bad customer service, food was super cold, the pepper chicken was mostly onion, the BBQ pork had no seasoning at all, rice and brown noodles was tasteless, and the coconut shrimp was more like coconut flour ... My last time going to this place.

Warning to all who have diabetes ,don't buy the food from here, because all the food is sweet, the food taste here all is the same taste no matter what the food call, and for the server almost every week change new person, i know because i working in the supermarket in the area ,all the time i pass here ,i see from the window. i do buy the food here only two time. when i buy the food the person who served me is the skinny man from the kitchen with savage face,no smile. i can feel is not friendly person this guy. must be is the owner this guy. i have no wonder almost every week the lady in the front is new. also i do believe with some of review saying they showing the lady server get hit from the guy from the kitchen ,is must be the person who served me. is the owner

I thought I had made a review but it disappeared. The food is okay. Not bad but I wouldn’t come again.The lady serving is so mean. Would not come again because of oh that. I don’t think I was doing anything to be treated like I was annoying. Just mean and rude.
