I saw this restaurant on tiktok and decide to give it a try. Their food is not very good and is so overpriced for small portions. Their aguas frescas are not made fresh they’re machine made. For 2 plates I paid $70 it was carne asada and 3 sopes. And the service is not profesional.

When in there during morning only one customer there along with us. Ordered the $39.99 overly expensive rib eye and chilaquiles plate. When the plate came the chilaquiles were cold. The food isn’t worth the 39.99 price!!! Waitress didn’t come around to even ask if we wanted coffee refill and can’t even say she was busy with other customers cuz by now we were the only customers there. The place was totally empty now I see why. We rather go to Compadres where there at least they give you chips and salsa before your meal!!!!! first and last time there. The place is not big and looks ugly.

Check in person was rude. We walked in and asked to join the queue. He told us the wait was an hour. We said it was fine. We didn’t see him sign us up so we asked about it. He ignored us so we left. Very small place as well and not much parking.

If you’re looking for a brunch spot here in LA make sure to stop at Maclovia. Food was amazing!! We ordered the chilaquiles Verdes with Steak and the Masapan French toast. Everything was rich in flavor, the presentation was also amazing. We also had cafe de olla and that was amazing itself. It didn’t need no cream or extra sugar. Very well done. Definitely coming back before we fly back to Chicago ✨

We went to Maclovia with no prior knowledge of this place. I saw that this place was very close to our house and dedicated to give it a try. I am very happy we did. The food was fantastic, very generous portions and great service. As a wheelchair user I am always critical of how accessible the place is and Maclovia passes with flying colors. They have some of the best chilaquiles that I've had! Highly recommend. If I had to be picky, it would be that their cafe de hoja was too watered down.

Terrible experience — as soon as you walk in it smells like sewage. The food was bland, the staff unorganized, and the billing practices dishonest. Definitely would not recommend.

We waited about 30m to be seated. They have no management system about who came first. They looked terribly understaffed. When we finally did get seated I waited about another 40m to actually get my drink ( cafe de olla ). At the end of my meal…The arracherra chilaquiles were nothing special. The meat was super tough. The best thing about the meal was the pork belly. Very tender. Very delicious. However..i wouldnt go back. They need a better system. At the end of it, we were asked to pay again even if we already paid.. dont know who is managing this restaurant but it needs work. 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 plates = $87.00. Also very little parking.

Maclovia Restaurant is a wonderful place to visit. Elizabeth, our server, delivered excellent customer service with efficiency and a friendly touch.
I ordered the Chile Relleno plate, which was quite good. The beans were flavorful, and the scrambled eggs were prepared just right. I also appreciated that the eggs were lightly seasoned, leaving plenty of room to add salt and black pepper to suit my taste.
In my humble opinion, the music is a bit too loud. It's a bit hard to hear each other.
Other than that, Maclovia's is a must try restaurant when you're in the neighborhood.

Vanessa is an absolute gem! She whipped up these amazing Jamaica margaritas that were to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Need more servers. Only 2 serves and lobby full. It took 15 minutes to get my drink order. I ordered an appetizer and it came 2 minutes after my food . They need help. When I complained about my food the waitress asked me if I was sure that they will be able to reheat it. Like really. Many people left for lack of service.
Worst place ever, arrived and waited 30 minutes both employees didn’t even acknowledge us and when they did just to be asked if we had reservations and employee just walked away and still had us waiting more. When we been there before without having a reservations.
