We had a great experience. The food was a great value and delicious. The service was excellent.

Every Bite was Mouthwatering and memorable. Our server, as busy as she was, was on top of it and provided customer care with a smile! The Catfish Sandwich was so good, I savored each bite by forcing myself to eat with fork and knife. The cornbread is a must have too!

I had an absolutely wonderful time with my family. Many laughs and got to enjoy some delicious food. The wings were absolutely outstanding super super delicious. I really believe this is some great barbecue. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I celebrated my best friend's birthday at Gus's and had a phenomenal experience! Food was delish and service was great— server Luis was the best! My BFF and I shared the cornbread, gumbo, picnic platter, collared greens, garlic mashed potatoes, and blueberry cobbler a la mode for dessert. All these tasted home cooked and very Southern. Meat was tender and seasoning was perfect! To boot, there were many selections of bbq sauces at each table to add to any dish. The only drawback was difficulty getting parking. But, the food and service made it worth it! I would definitely recommend Gus's BBQ— ask for Luis!

I go to share Gus's pulled pork nachos & have a drink at the South Pasadena location. The employee's are always on it no matter how busy it is. I highly recommend Gus's.

Classic BBQ joint with slow-cooked meats and hearty sides. The pulled pork sandwich is juicy and smoky. Service is friendly and fast. Prices are fair for the portions. A neighborhood favorite for decades.

Thanks to Jordan for your thoughtful and professional service last evening. I got home at 10pm and told my husband and son that we had gone to Gus's after golf and I brought home leftovers. They both replied “pulled pork cob salad?”!!🙂 I do love it! Gus's has gone thru many changes since we started coming in 1994! Claremont location is also always on our radar when visitong family there! Thanks for being our favorite for so long.

As for my first time coming here, this place as a whole with the food, service, atmosphere & inside the place was simply amazing. Chicken Fried Steak, the cornbread (an appetizer), grilled bbq chicken breast is a must. The server by the name of Javier was awesome.

I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad for lunch with no onions and it was fresh and delicious! I also ordered a unsweetened Ice Tea to drink! Great Food and Great Service! The only thing that I was disappointed that you do not have Banana Pudding for Dessert!

For the first time ever I sent something back for not being hot. They offered to replace it but I didn't get a replacement order of onion strings.

Great place for a group or family dining. Nice selection of items on the menu and different sauces to try. Wait staff is friend, attentive and quick. Food was delicious and there was left overs for the next day.

Prices have gone up and portion sizes have gone down. This use to be a great spot. Food still is delicious, and you still should get a reservation.
