Sure, the food tastes fresh here, but the bad reviews are right. There is too much rice and not enough meat. Besides their onigiri, I felt like the handrolls I got were about 95% rice and only 5% meat.

Additionally, these things aren't cheap so you might as well go to a real sushi restaurant. As for me, I'm one and done here.

They have vegan options …memorable onigiri (rice balls), edamame, pickled veggies, seaweed salad, and temaki (hand rolls). Their vegan onigiri keep me coming back! Soooooo good! The spot in Little Tokyo 123 Astronaut E S Onizuka St, Ste 103, Los Angeles, California 90012. Updated from previous review on 2024-11-08

Great service, and delicious riceballs! I'd come more often if the parking situation wasn't so crazy during lunch hours! I ought to come back for lunch seeing how two riceballs fill me up! Considering the price of the Pasadena area, it's a decent deal. Though alot of their premium offers can easily bring that up to a higher price point, so I usually don't opt for them.

It's attached to a building that contains a Starbucks and Habit Burger, so if you're itching for more food afterwards, there's plenty to choose from next door or around the area.

It definitely is more of a light meal, which I don't mind, so if you want something lighter and less expensive, this might be a place to go. Overall, a solid Riceball place!

Notable places nearby include:
Gus's BBQ (great happy hour), and Fair Oaks Pharmacy (great shakes and sundaes) across the street, and further north is Old Town Pasadena. There is limited lot parking but plenty of street parking.

I like the food but it should be called Rice and Rice and Nori because of the high volume of rice.

Quick and easy lunch for when you're craving fresh seafood. The 5 hand roll set is so worth it! 2 premium rolls and 3 regular rolls plus sashimi and edamame.
