Hidden gem in an area. You wouldn't expect it to be. Everything we had. There was delicious. We got a two meat combo and a few wings and it was plenty.

We came here to eat last night as a family. Excellent food and service.
What really made the night special was the vibe and service. The Olympics were on and we enjoyed watching the games. I had to explain curling to the little one.
Itâs laid-back but still feels like you can celebrate something meaningful there. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The little one ordered a Shirley temple and loved it. Our servers would give her an extra cherry whenever she asked. She was so happy.
Personally recommend getting the wings, brisket, potato salad, and beans. It was a dinner I'll remember. Thank you, Cali BBQ, for helping make it special. Weâll definitely come again.

I came here because of the reviews. Wow were they wrong! The set up inside is odd and not inviting. The service was eh and the food was trash! We didnât get sour cream on our order as it stated in the menu it was going to have on it and when I asked where the sour cream was? The server had no idea and asked. 10 minutes later she said they were looking for it. Then it was frozen and then they brought was watery sour cream. It was a joke! I asked for the manager and when he came, he asked what we wanted him to do? That is the worst question to ask when youâre unhappy with your food! Like câmon dude, you tell us what youâll do for us to compensate our experience. He looked at my food and actually said, looks like you ate most of it. I was appalled! I told him I was starving! Was I supposed to wait 20 minutes for sour cream? Ugh! After our interaction with the manager, the server asked how it went with the manager and she said he was new. We told her he is awful and management is not for him! He only gave us 20% off our bill. That was our 1st and last time going there! The reviews are wrong about this place! Donât waste your money here!

I must tell you, I never new this place existed, WOW! What a game changer. this place has the best BBQ I've tried in a long time. I had the brisket brioche sandwich,mouth watering so tender so full of flavor đ€€ plus it came with fries that you can't beat. Plus the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat at you just gotta try this place out. Will be coming back with new mouths to feed to try out some of your other delicious foods. Love your atmosphere and customer service, outstanding. Thanks for serving San Diego.

We arrived at 8:15pm and asked if it was still ok to get something to eat knowing they close at 9pm. The restaurant side was empty and there were a few people on the bar side. We quickly decided what to order. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The food arrived quickly because they were not busy. The pulled pork sandwich was very good. I'd like to go back and try something else on the menu to learn what they excel at.
