Captain Sam's Fish & Chicken

Quite frank this is the best fish and chips place around here. The cat fish is absolutely amazing and burning, piping hot, meaning it’s fresh instead of sitting in a food warmer for hours. The fries are phenomenal. The atmosphere doesn’t matter too much, but just fyi it is in a small convenience store, so you can also grab some snacks or drinks. They even have alcohol if you want a small buzz to go with it. Anyway it’s simply amazing. Whatever seasoning they’ve made it’s outstanding and they put it on, I think, all the fried stuff. I also tried the macoroni salad, NOT Mac and cheese, and it was also good. Please come here and taste it. It’s amazing. Highly recommend the cat fish meal.

My go-to spot!! The boneless wings are my favorite — I always get them half BBQ and half buffalo, and they’re perfectly sauced every time. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and that flavor combo is unbeatable. The service is always fast and the staff are super friendly. I keep coming back to this location — they never disappoint!

Customer service is quick and super friendly, the food at Captain Sam’s Fish and Chicken is amazingly delicious, I was astonished by how delectable and juicy the tilapia was oh and I was expecting the shrimp to be oily but it wasn’t I was flabbergasted and delighted, personally I’ve also tried the chicken sandwich and chicken dinner and every-time I took a bite I couldn’t help but taste the delicious spices that were put into it, I’m looking forward to my next visit and trying maybe the catfish next.

He stolen money from the people with different ways, for example he took $5 cash from me before I use my EBT card, that’s not making sense, he was so mean , I’m going to report them.

The best seafood I've had in the El Cajon area. Both catfish and shrimp is always cooked perfectly. My only complaint is they don't have any tables to eat there, so I always eat in my car in the parking lot. The owner should start a sit down restaurant, I think he's missing the boat. (Pun intended)

Food was not that good and not very much cod was good but chicken tenders were dry and not that much flavor

Ordered the gizzards and fries. Gizzards have NO seasoning. Guess that's what the hot sauce is for. Didn't request them fried hard because I wanted to see how they fried them on their own. VERY wet and doughy. Had to toss them in the air fryer. Ordered 1 cod and 1 catfish. Catfish was fried okay but the cod was soggy and fell apart when I picked it up. Macaroni salad just doesn't taste right. Missing ingredients or something. Guess I'll toss the cod in the air fryer too. It appears their take out containers retain moisture.
