I’m really glad I discovered this place. It’s hard to find places like this—the food is good and reasonably priced. I hadn’t been able to find a place that served consommé or Birria, but here they have them, and they’re delicious and generously served. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a good consommé (Barbacoa) or Birria.

What a hidden gem in Spring Valley at the foot of Dictionary Hill. I’ve ordered food here three times in the recent past, and am convinced of the food quality.

Was visiting SD for the weekend and found this place. It’s a small kind of hidden restaurant. Ordered the birria tacos. They were so good and the consume was also great. The meat was tender and flavorful. If I visit SD again, definitely going back. The only thing I wish they had were micheladas.

The Birria Quesadilla, the Barbacoa Taco, the Birria Taco, and the Adobaba Tacos were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended if you like making your taste buds explode with happiness. Please come in and experience this place for yourselves.

Carlos' passion for AWESOME food, attentive service, and cleanliness are evident in everything he does. We drive over 20 minutes to dine here. We have tried nearly everything on the menu. We are impressed with his ability to make everything look and taste AMAZING. ¡GRACIAS for another phenomenal meal!

This is the second time that we order to go consomé with garbanzo and they failed to do so, giving us only consomé. Which makes us drive another 30 minutes back to get what we order for. I suggest you pay with credit card so if they mess up you can fight the charge because this is completely bull shit. And this time the consomé was even SO freaking salty.

Well served dishes. Great taste. Amazing friendly service. Small clean restaurant. Reasonable prices given the size of the dishes. Beverages are canned or bottle soft drinks. They have Mexican traditional drinks, not authentic, but they still have them. The only thing that would have made the quesabirria tacos better would have been freshly made corn tortillas. No restroom and parking is tiny. It's actually under an apartment complex so it feels like you're young to the apartments when you park.
Friendly faces, incredible food, large portions, looking forward to our next visit . Chili relleno, and quesabirria tacos.
