When you pay 30$ for a plate of brisket and it’s COLD and about 80% fat it’s extremely frustrating not to mention I asked for Mac and cheese and I got beans extremely

This Shack at Valley Farm's Market in Spring Valley has changed identity a couple of time, but now they seemed to blended the best of both worlds: A coffee shop and a BBQ house with smashed burgers and tacos.I've been to the shack of a couple of times now. First was for some coffee and an avocado toast. The coffee was good, and the avocado toast was really good and came with plenty of smashed avocado. Now, the double smash burger with fries was fantastic. They use quality beef, which is ground in-house, at the marker next door. The beef flavors were great, and the burger as w whole was great, too. The double smash burger comes with sauteed umami onions, American cheese, a secret sauce, on a toasted brioche bun. You can get this great burger on Thursdays for $10.99. Any other day, the double smash costs $14.99. It comes with fries. They offer outside shaded seating and service is very friendly.
They messed up my order the first time I ordered from there! I was missing both sides with my chicken! The chicken was okay. Nothing special about it! I will try again the second time around.

Worst chilaquiles I ever had literally looked like green diarrea in a food container. The green salsa has no other flavor but sour, no salt, or any spices. Horrible over cooked eggs (they are supposed to be over easy ).What a waist of $15 dollars.Any taco shop could do way better.

This place is top 5 for BBQ. Briquet nachos, tri-tip nachos or tacos. Its all good. 1/2 serving of nachos is enough for 2 people.

Tri tip sandwich was delicious. French fries were cooked to perfection. Their coffee has a really good flavor. A covered seating area is available for use on warmer days.

The drinks that come out of the shack itself are and have been consistently good but the recent return to serving food was a huge disappointment. The barbecue wasn't great, pork ribs came out way too smoky, were mealy in spots and the sauce on them wasn't a good pick, bland and not sweet enough. Similarly, the carnitas was bone dry and over-smoked.The burger is only slightly better than fast food for 3x the price, patties were WAY too thick to be called a smashburger. Advertising 'fries' and serving waffle fries should be a crime, not only are they just not as good as straight-cut fries but the huge shape makes the 'loaded fries' order on the menu just impossible to eat with a fork. The sides were nothing special, the green chili mac was just OK and the beans were swimming in some mayo-based sauce, not good... Just make regular baked beans in a tomato/bbq sauce!Prices are just absurdly high for the quality of the food, if they want this place to succeed they need to go back to the drawing board in a big way, there's several restaurants that constitute The Shack's entire menu that are less than a 2 minute drive away and serve better tasting food for less money.

I had the half rack of baby back plate. Fantastic BBQ plus really good Cole slaw and potato salad. Two meals worth of great grub

They got my order wrong, so make sure to check your takeout order before you leave. Now to the food...the cold slaw was dry, and the baked beans were over seasoned to the point they were not edible.
