As a lover of all things golf course food, Birdies is a hole in one! Elevated bar food, meets the golf course. You'll find classics like burgers, tuna melts, club sandwiches, and even pimento cheese dip (which is delicious). For our mains we split a club sandwich ($15.95) and a tuna melt ($18.95). As you can tell by the photos, they don't skimp on anything. It's really enough food for two meals, and the fries and onion rings, we crushed them while they are hot. All the ingredients tasted super fresh, the bread was perfectly crunchy on both sandwiches. I think for the quality and amount of food you get, the pricing is really reasonable, especially in Palo Alto. For drinks we went with the espresso martinis, and they were delightful and reasonable priced at $13.95. Located at the Stanford golf course, this definitely a hidden spot. If you know, you know. If you enjoy elevated bar food or golf course food in general, it's worth checking out!

I just got a chips and dip at the express. It was pretty tasty and packaged neatly but I found it fairly good. The quantity was not big. The service was quick and they accept Google Pay it quick and it was extremely conveniently located at the driving range where my kid got hungry so it was very needed. Water costs money though. I did see their menu and not many veggie options at the express. I'd definitely like to go try their main location.

Birdies has just exploded on the restaurant scene in Palo Alto! The venue and ambiance staged in what is considered one of the Crown Jewels of the peninsula and Silicon Valley! The perfect spot to finish off a fabulous round of golf or if you're just looking to hangout and watch your favorite sport or date night with the love of your life BIRDIES is the place to be and bring the kids too! Cheers and congratulations to Jeremy, Bridgett and the Birdies team! Go Stanford !!!

I love Birdie's! I have eaten here several times now; the food is always delicious and service always prompt and friendly. Ambiance is lovely-- classy yet casual, inviting and vibrant. Lots of great appetizers-- the spinach and artichoke dip is a highlight, as well as the guacamole and pimento cheese dips. Breakfast burrito is very tasty and perfect to take on the course. The Big Cheeseburger is one of the best I've had, cooked to order with delicious seeded roll. The Birdie Burger was also good but the Big Cheeseburger for only $5 more is definitely worth it. Great selection of cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages. The menu is quite large and diverse, so there is a lot I'm looking forward to trying in the future.

I really wanted to like this new restaurant. I found it bland and the menu is pretty generic with the usuals like club sandwich, burger, and plain salads where you have to add on $5 for protein on top of the $15 for the salad. The fontina cheese was really good in the spinach artichoke dip. But the chips were hard and cold, I would have thought they would freshly fry them and come out hot and crispy. The grilled vegetables were good but the onions were cut inconsistently and cooked differently. Very few vegetarian options. Please consider adding a grown up grilled cheese, a farmers market salad (instead of the usual chopped salad and caesar), and a tomato soup - they had carrot cream for the soup of the day which sounded so sweet. No one came to greet us when we walked in - we had to find the server. Then we asked to order but had to wait again. It feels like their servers aren't trained well on the specials, seating people as they walk in, and bringing the check (we just sat there until we could flag someone down). The views are amazing and it's a really nice spot.

Our endless pursuit of cool restaurants brought us to Birdie's today and we are super stoked we checked it out. First of all, it has parking, like more than it needs. No circling the block here. The views of the mountains across the bay are stunning and if golf is your thing....well you've got that.We had the tuna melt which was delicious, and the cobb salad which was huge. The onion rings (which I'm a huge snob about) were pretty much perfect. They were well seasoned, crispy and not oil-soggy. The staff were all pros and just the right amount of attentive and willing to chit-chat with us.We brought a burger home to-go for our daughter and it disappeared in seconds, so apparently their food travels well.Overall I'd recommend adding this to your go-to spots. It should be packed and probably will be soon as more people learn about it. No Rossotti's parking anxiety, yummy food, relatively affordable pricing and pro service.I don't write many reviews and was compelled to after visiting Birdies which says something too.Parking: An over-abundance of parking.

I'm thrilled that the Stanford Golf Course once again has a restaurant on site, and BIRDIE's is a delight! Two rooms to choose from: brightly lit inside along windows, or bar area with high tops. I think there is patio seating out back. Service is attentive, and the food is delicious! Chef Jeremy clearly cares about his dishes and everything I have had over three visits has been beautifully presented and tasty. The kitchen is also amenable to tailoring a dish to your preferences. I converted a blackened salmon sandwich to a salad, for instance, and it was gorgeous! The breakfast burrito features a delicious sausage. The Big Cheeseburger is available with gruyère (yay!), and is, I think, a better bet than the smaller " Birdie burger" (we tried both). Grilled Chicken sandwich was good, though I preferred the burger. The Clam Chowder was subtle, hot, and creamy, a real treat! Fries are yummy: not too thin, not too thick, and not too salty. They also offer Moët et Chandon sparkling rosé splits (187 mL) and the flutes have a thin edge, making for an elegant experience. Food can be prepared to go, e.g., to enjoy on the course, but golfing is not required. I encourage non-golfers to try it out! The views are gorgeous, the bar is well stocked, the food is tasty, and you can enjoy some historic photos as well (check out Tiger Woods and Rose Zhang each playing for the Cardinal!).

We called ahead to ensure they were open on a Sunday and inquired, "when do you close?" "6pm" we were told. We showed up at 5:15pm and they shooed us away and doors were locked. Get your act together!

Great food and drinks and friendly service. We went on opening day and will be back many times. Check it out whether you’re golfing or just in the neighborhood.
