Definitely one of the better locations to grab a quick sandwich or meal on campus. This location is a bit hard to find and not well advertised. If you enter the quad main entrance, follow the diagonal path to the left and pass under the two arches the path leads to, then Olives will be on your left. Plenty of outdoor seating here and usually not too long of a wait. The sandwiches are worth it, salmon is not. Most come with a salad too!

I take my family to this lovely spot a lot! This is my favorite place to to have a good dinner. I go there regularly. The food is just great, the staff members are helpful and the prices are reasonable. I enjoy being in this restaurant to have a decent lunch.

Absurdly expensive - my tiny cold brew coffee was $5.99 - but the cheese waffle dip was stupid good. Buttery but not oily, nice mixture of melty cheese, crispy, delicious. The tomato soup elevated it; it was sweet and creamy - not a traditional tomato soup taste - and was magically harmonious with that tasty fatty waffle. Damn that was good

This place has changed since I used to come here (perhaps 3-4 years ago?). One should be aware of this when reading older reviews, since many of the dishes mentioned in those are no longer offered. In particular, Olive's doesn't include any more sad side salads, thank goodness. I recently began coming here again this fall (2018). I don't know when it turned into a sandwich shop with its current menu, and I believe it's improved from before. I really enjoy The Olive, which is a pita topped with an impressive mountain of hummus, arugula, olives, quinoa, yogurt, and more. The other sandwiches are also quite good and they're named after Stanford-related things, such as "Campus Drive." I've heard that their cheesy waffle dip is particularly good.

In the basement of Wallenberg Hall we found this welcoming cafe just in time for breakfast. With paninis, coffee and cappuccino we adjourned to the light filled courtyard, which we had to ourselves. An enhancing beginning to the morning.

Awful coffee made me and my friends stomachache . We hurried from library to dorm due to the ache. Worst memory in Stanford.

Too much sour cream it was weird.

This place is not too bad, especially when options on campus are not that great to begin with. I've been a student here for 5 years, and so far, the only things I really look forward to eating on campus are Olives and Thai Cafe (which has been removed as of this school year). Nothing too special, but you will get a solid meal for a reasonable (for Palo Alto/Stanford) price. They also don't sell all the options every day, so their menu changes on a per day basis. Last time, I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was not great; the chicken was cold! I'd expect Stanford would do better but alas, to no avail. They have some good cookies though, so for that, I'll give them 3 stars instead of 2.

The Caesar salad is just awful. The lettuce was wilted, and the one or two grape tomatoes that were included were smushed by the lid. Also, the Caesar salad has no Caesar dressing besides a tiny amount of Parmesan cheese and olive oil added to the chicken. For the price of the salad, something like $7, such low quality is absolutely not worth it.
