I have dined at this restaurant in the past but was very disappointed with my experience. I was celebrating my birthday and ordered lobster tails and my husband ordered filet minion . No sides came with the meal and we needed to order sides which we were surprised. After 15 minutes our waitress came to us to say the lobster tails wouldn't be ready for a half hour. I agreed to wait since that was what I wanted. In the meantime my husband's steak came out and I sat there watching him eat. My sides came out (baked potato) but no tails. I was told the bread would be right out, but needed to tell our waitress where is the bread and she said “oh, you didn't get it?”. It finally came but but a Goid restaurant would have coordinated the food to come out the same time. I know when I made the reservation through open table I mentioned it was my birthday. When our meal was over we were asked would we like dessert. I had to remind them it was my birthday. Then my slice and candle came out. Other establishment would have it marked and would have greeted me saying Happy Birthday. Needless to say I was disappointed and wished I celebrated my day at another restaurant. The food was good. I will not be returning to Claim Jumper

The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. The only flaws of the evening was the Mojito tasted a little watered down and the spinach artichoke dip could've been season better. Overall the wife and the family enjoy the evening and the service definitely made up for the flaws!

As a vegetarian, Claim Jumper isn't the first place that pops up on my radar as destination to dine or order from. But there are limited options up her in the Santa Clarita Valley...we were in the mood for Impossible Burgers and hadn't tried them from here, so why not.We were pleasantly surprised with the taste and presentation of our Impossible patties...smashed and seasoned in a way we hadn't seen at other restaurants. The steak fries and brussels we chose for sides were also pretty good.Glancing more closely at their menu there are a handful of vegetarian items including Nashville Cauliflower, salads, a couple more sides and pizza. So the choices weren't too many choices...but there were at least choices (for vegetarians.)They also are nice enough to label menu items with "gf" if they're gluten-free.We actually ordered a second time in the same week and had a cheese pizza from their wood-fired pizza menu. Could have used a little better less cheese / more sauce balance for my personal tastes, but otherwise it was pretty well done.I do wish there were one or 2 other vegetarian main choices, but overall Iw as surprised, again as a vegetarian, how much I liked what I got from here.

We have dined here almost every month this last one was unsatisfactory. Steak was chewy. Lobsters were over cooked. I paid $8.00 for twice baked potato with everything including chives which I specifically said no chives and it's all mixed in which I could not eat. Will think twice if we will beback again ??

Restaurant is outdated and material in booths old and dirty. Haven't been in years, made a reservation as I assumed it would be packaged as it used to be. No need for reservation, very empty. Food portions much smaller than they used to be.

This was our first time back since COVID and what a huge let down it was! The service was good but our disappointment was with everything else. The portion size has decreased drastically, they don’t include soup or salad with your meal, nor do they include the customary bread at the beginning. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. My loaded potato smelled and tasted rancid. The prices have gone up slightly even with all the decreases I mentioned. Our bill was $128.00 for 2 (without alcohol!) and neither one of us left feeling stuffed as we did in the past plus neither left feeling satisfied with the overall experience. If this keeps up, this is the end of what use to be a great steakhouse chain. Too bad!!

Father's Day Bunch Buffet was not great. The food was not hot and it was dry and not tasty. Where's the quality of food at. People do not realize that the food should not be about quantity. And Claim Jumper is about their food getting out to quick. So if you thinking about going to Claim Jumper do not go on the Buffet Day. But I can say the only thing was good was the service.

Went for Fathers Day and had a terrible experience. I was told over the phone when the reservation was made that they would be serving the regular menu too. So when our party of 9 showed up , 4 of us couldn't eat due to dietary restrictions. For those that did eat the buffet, the food was cold and you could tell it had been sitting in the foil trays for awhile. We were told they would replenish soon, but that didn't happen while we were there. $40 for a cold buffet, plus an extra $5 for an iced tea, never again. Will not return.

Last time I was at Claim Jumper in Valencia I had a burger and fries, my parents had steaks. The food was decent and imagined coming back sooner than later. Fast forward 7 years, my recollection was not brought to the forefront. I would think that the food would have been even better this time around, however this was not the case. This time, I had the tri-tip sandwich, my wife the crusted chicken pasta, my mother the salmon, the kids a bowl of clam chowder. The trip-tip sandwich did not look anything like the menu. The amount of meat was nearly half of that of the menu picture. The taste was subpar. My wife's chicken and pasta was acceptable, however the cheese bread was unedible. The salmon was good, but not 30 dollars good. The bowl of clam chowder was sour and watery, my girls did not finish even half of it. The food, overall, was not good. We booked a reservation at 6:30, but were seated nearly 20 minutes later. Once seated, we sat down for another 10 minutes without a server attending to us. During those 10 minutes, roughly 15 walk-bys with staff without anyone mentioning they will be right with us. When I asked the lady at the front who seated us that we haven't seen our waiter, she let us know that she will find them, but she simply went to the front to greet new customers. Although the staff are pleasant and friendly, the service needs work. They may be understaffed possibly, so I don't want to get on them individually; management needs to figure this out. I bought a 100 dollar gift card with a 25 dollar gift card bonus on the Claim Jumper website. There is no disclaimer that the 25 dollar gift card can only be used after 6/20/2022. Only after purchase was this made known. Sneaky Claim Jumper. I will be hard pressed to come back considering my recent visit to use the 25 dollar bonus gift card. Overall, very poor experience for a mother's day dinner. I felt I wasted 120 dollars. I would have been more satisfied with a trip to McDonalds.

Waited a long time. They allowed people to steal other parties tables before being seated. First pass on buffet was 90% empty. Very slow to replace. Food was not good for what was available. Wife got sick from something she ate. Ever since pandemic started this place has not been the same. Even on our regular menu visits. Will not be going back ever.

We waited an hour to be seated after our reservation time. Then they tried to seat our party at two different tables on Mother's Day! They sat a large party who had a reservation 45 minutes after we did before us and then we had to sit our party of 8 in the bar. The buffet was never stocked completely. They had a hard time keeping food stocked on the buffet. The food was awful, had no flavor and the buffet area was filthy. They even tried to fill the emptiness with Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Didn't really want to pay $40 for doughnut-type food. A restaurant that doesn't do brunch or buffets shouldn't just do them on random holidays. It would have been preferred and much better for the customer to order off their regular menu, which is wonderful.

The Mother's Day brunch was very disorganized and the line to get food took way too long. I liked it when they used to have different food stations around the restaurant. There was no sign for the omelets and they weren't even serving them at 10:30 when I walked by the first time same with the pizza. $124 for 2 adults with 1 alcoholic drink each and a 2 year old. Took us almost 2 hours just because they took almost 15 min to seat us even with reservations and it wasn't that busy upon arrival. Won't be coming back for a buffet experience.

Being from out of town, we made reservations. When we arrived at 6, only 1 person at front and on the phone with another customer. We had to wait for a while for her to finish. She obviously was new to the job which was fine. But when she finally could help us, she couldn't find our reservation. Finally, another gal came to help. We made a reservation for outside but were told matter of factly, that we couldn't sit outside because it was set up for the Mother's Day brunch. The waitress was nice but obviously assigned too many tables so service was VERY slow. We wouldn't go there again unfortunately.

Very disappointed I reserved outside seating because I brought my puppy. I got there to celebrate my birthday with my family and got turned away because their outdoor dining was not available. That should have been told to me before I made my reservation. Not a good experience

The reservation was for Easter Dinner. Claim jumper has gone really downhill. 25 years ago when we first went to Claim Jumper it was quite an experience. We loved it. Now there is nothing that made it special. Delicious food, large portions, all you can eat salad bar. It was worth waiting for a while to get in. Now it's been reduced to a Sunday Brunch on Easter that is maybe a slightly upgraded Dennys menu. We wanted a steak dinner and left to go somewhere where we could get that.
